Formerly known as B-Plexx, we're delighted to welcome Drex174 to Metalheadz for a bold new chapter in a career that already spans more than a decade.

Following a break from music, the UK producer submitted a five-track demo to the label - all of which were signed immediately, with Goldie personally calling to welcome him aboard. There's a clear sense of personal evolution across the EP, blending classic Metalheadz influences with a modern, forward-thinking edge.

Drex174's arrival on the label is both a milestone and a statement of intent - and we're excited to see what comes next.

Next up in the 30 Years of Metalheadz lathe cut series - two iconic tracks perfectly complimented by each other. 
 
First up is 'The Alpha Kemistry' - seeing the light of day for the very first time. Originally created by Goldie as a loop for Diane Charlemagne to sing over, this piece has sat quietly in the archives, untouched and unheard. It's a crucial fragment of our history and a key moment in Goldie's journey, now finally available in full form.
 
On the flip, we're bringing you a long-requested heavyweight: Benny L's 2018 remix of Alex Reece's legendary 'Pulp Fiction'. The original changed the game back in 1995, stripping things back and introducing a groove that would become foundational in drum & bass. Benny's remix takes that DNA and amplifies it for today's sound systems - a staple in Goldie's sets and a fitting tribute to one of the genre's most influential tracks.

Hot off the back of his excellent (115) release, @KuttinEdge serves up a twinkling r&b d&b roller, right on time for peak summer fun. Inspired by future garage and the likes of Overmono, Overthinking is a mix of sophisticated chords, syncopated and straight rhythms, buchla arpeggios, synth bass, reese, crunchy shakers, and some sweet vocals layered as the icing on the cake.
