Wasting Time

Demo version of Sherbert Rains. The song is inspired by the fires that raged throughout California. The lyrics describe my personal experience with the effects of climate change. The title is derived from the way oil looks when mixed with water. It creates this beautiful rainbow effect. Through the title, I was imagining a world so polluted that the water comes down already mixed with oil, and the sunlight refracts the colors through the drops.
