Following the creation of his own False Idols imprint and last year's album of the same name, Tricky returns in the fall of 2014 with a new studio project that shares the name he was given at birth: Adrian Thaws. "Calling it Adrian Thaws is saying you don't really know me," says Tricky of his 11th album. "So many times people have tried to put a finger on me and every album I go to a different place."

Lynette Williams debuts her 2nd EP Love Thee, Not Chaos. All songs were written, produced, and recorded by Lynette in her living room. This project is an homage and love story between technology and art. There is no autotune and every instrument on each track was played, sung, and recorded by her. The EP cover is a photo from Instagram that she took of herself with no photoshop. So there are imperfections amidst this project - it is not polished like her last EP. This one is stripped down, bare, and raw - a complete labor of love.
Shakespeare wrote in Othello, "Perdition catch my soul but I do love thee and when I love thee not, chaos is come again". Inspired by the past three years, Love Thee, Not Chaos is comprised of Lynette's experiences in love, heartache, and in saying good bye. Lynette also sings about her definition of savage - those who hide behind the guise of religion in order to do horrible acts of cruelty to one another. There is a chaos in the world one that enables genocides, racism, and police brutality and there is a disconnect between our inherent humanity and our innate connectedness to one another.

‘Tunnels’ begins with a flurry of drums before being enveloped by sub-bass pressure, like stepping directly into a basement club in full flow. As the track climaxes, saxophones sweep the air like green-spoked lasers overhead, creating a contrast of pinpoint clarity against the background atmosphere. Though sonically well outside Bristol’s dubstep legacy, it accurately portrays the smudged perception of a peak time rave. On the flip, we find the more introverted 'First Light', wherein the group downshift from the buzz of a bustling room to the hum of one’s head as dawn breaks. It is a moment of spacious solitude shared only, as Cunningham pictures it, with “swans fighting over polystyrene chip boxes” in the canal below.
