Dear pupils, 

This is where you'll find recordings of your exam & non-exam pieces, and singing accompaniments of music that we've been working on during your lessons. Any questions, just leave me a comment under the piece in question and I'll get back to you. 

It is vitally important that you continue to use your music & practice diaries. Please don't just rely on listening; check the notes (and clef!)that you are playing are correct. These recordings should help with any rhythmic or timing issues that you may have, and give you a firmer idea of the tempo we need to aim for.

You will be able to find all music(please double check the year) in one place if you select your grade in the playlist tab.

I am a piano teacher who also writes pedagogical materials for developing piano students.  My "SoundCloud" will mostly be devoted to recording pedagogical materials.

Russell Austin was born in Southampton (UK) and took an interest in music from an early age. He studied Piano Performance and Composition at the Royal Academy Of Music in London. His main interests are Classical Music,  Film Music, Modern Jazz and Popular music of the 1930's, 40's and 50's.

Ruth is based in Lichfield, UK, and sings mostly classical and traditional folk music. She also writes lyrics (as Eleanor Ruth Carlyle) and collaborates on new music with David Barton http://www.davidbartonmusic.co.uk/.

She  released her first EP with David Barton in November 2020: ‘Annabel Lee Replies’.

Ruth was a awarded a Distinction for London College of Music Examinations Grade 8 Classical Singing (100%) in July 2018 and the DipLCM (upper level) in July 2019.

Lynne Phillips studied piano at Cardiff University and at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under renowned concert pianist and teacher Richard McMahon.
 
She has been teaching piano to children and adults through private lessons and at RWCMD for 15 years. She is a specialist in early years, advanced (post grade 8) pianists, gifted musicians, rebuilding confidence in students who may be struggling with their muisc studies, and working with children with SEN and SpLD such as visual impairments, ASD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, and language processing disorders.
 
Lynne is currently researching and writing a book on teaching young pianists to become autonomous learners.
