Think of those phonecalls where someone says to you, you gotta meet this new person in town. That's what Ricardo told me about Udi. We met, we talked, we vibed and two days later we were all co-creating this first event! We did more, but this was the start of a beautiful journey together. Music for food is something i can not ignore and i absolutely love doing these projects. How to enhance an already uber sensorial experience? That was the challenge.

“Udi & The Beets” Beetroot Edition marks the debut of a new cooking series where chef and nutritionist Udi Barkan shares his culinary journey through the flavors of Portugal, enriched by his extensive experiences from Israel and beyond. Hosted in unique venues, these events feature wholesome food, stunning set designs, and a musical journey curated by Mike Stellar.

In each edition, Udi selects locally sourced fruits and vegetables, creating a vibrant menu that highlights their diverse flavors. His goal is to inspire guests to embrace more seasonal produce in their daily lives and encourage healthier, plant-forward eating throughout the year.

Next event is 22nd September, and the menu will be focused on figs and tomatoes. Exciting!

This Progressive Psytrance journey starts floating between minimalistic tunes to more energetic driving rhythms, gradually evolving into a darker and psychedelic end. Melodic elements appear time to time, weaving through the darker soundscapes creating nuances and adding depth. That gives the set an unique dynamic.

In this mix, I’ve pushed the boundaries of advanced mixing techniques, resulting in the cleanest and most dynamic recording I've ever made. It captures the essence of my sound evolution over the past year and showcases a new hybrid of Progressive Psytrance. One that blends darkness with light, minimalism with energy, and groove with psychedelia.

My set from Masters of Puppets (Tortuga stage), in my usual techno/ darkprog mixing style, with a bit of darkpsy at the end. I like to mix hypnotic and harder dark techno together and evolve into darkprog. This has been my thing for a decade.
