Lysis is a drum and bass DJ from Thunder Bay, ON.
She is the co-founder of Thunder Bay Bass Collective and Submerged Sound, and a host of the Submerged Sound show on Sub.FM.

Lysis has spent her entire career working to grow the underground scene at home. As a founding member of Submerged Sound, Thunder Bay Bass Collective, and former director of Sub Zero and Love and Kindness music festivals, Lysis is well known for supporting homegrown talent in Thunder Bay and the surrounding areas. She’s a strong advocate for showcasing new talent, supporting diverse artists, and setting an example for respect and fair compensation in the industry.

Lysis has built her reputation on diverse sets that draw on a broad spectrum of subgenres. With a focus on crisp, hard-hitting percussion and deep, resounding basslines, her roots in techstep always shine through in her selections. Her deep love for exploring new sounds means Lysis always finds unique and interesting ways to blend a wide variety of styles into her performances and keep audiences on their
toes. 

Lysis has been invited to share the stage with the likes of Dieselboy, Downlink, Marcus Visionary, Calyx and Teebee, and many more. She’s contributed guest mixes for Ritual Radio on Dubplate.FM, the DnB Girls Podcast, Bass Movement on dnbradio.com, Subconscious Selections, and Shift Radio on UMFM, and has made festival appearances at Future Forest, Valhalla Sound Circus, and Bloom Festival, with more to come.

Lysis crafts every set with intention with inclusions from a complementary range of genres in the 160-180 bpm range, while staying true to her roots in techstep. Her versatile mixing style and bass-heavy blend of underground sounds take the listener on a journey from start to finish, with performances guaranteed to keep the dancefloor engaged at any venue.

Based out of Toronto Rhombi serves up a smooth and eclectic mix of eyes-down, meditative selections as well as hard hitting system sounds, weaving together a range of Drum & Bass, Jungle, Techstep, Drumfunk, and Footwork. They help lead the next generation of local artists on the foundation of soundsystem music.

You can catch Rhombi live on Subtle Radio, the first Saturday of every month from 2:00-3:00AM GMT / 10:00-11:00PM EST.

Rhombi has had the pleasure of appearing at venues across Canada such as Shambhala Music Festival, Harvest Festival, Future Forest Festival, Valhalla Sound Circus, Department of Civilian Dance, and Virtual Powwow Fest. Previously DJing under the moniker MeanGeek, and representing half of the MeanKill Project, Moth has evolved and begun to produce his own distinct sound. You can instantly recognize his unique powerful and rhythmic basslines, and clean, robust drum patterns. Although the Moth project is only just beginning, he is no stranger to the decks after spending over 12 years as a working DJ. He’s known for consistently bringing a dark, energetic and bass heavy sound that emanates across dancefloors. His rhythmic and heavy basslines are sure to rattle the foundations of even the most modern of venues. When he is not on stage curating the vibes, you can find Moth clumsily bumping around in front of the bass bins until sunrise.
