Raised in the inner city by a single mother, and without a father figure, LYVE’s background reads like most up-and-coming artists on the grind.  Growing up, he was a daily witness to drugs and violence, as well as his mother’s struggle.  

Once he was introduced the music of legends like Notorius B.I.G., KRS-One, Lauryn Hill and Slick Rick, LYVE found an escape troubled world.  He got hooked on hip-hop.  Their powerful storytelling and love for the art ignited LYVE’s interest and gave him a much-needed outlet of expression.  He has recently gained recognition in his home-state of Louisiana as a voracious lyricist via Kampus Smakk rap battles.

LYVE is now preparing to enter the arena of the music industry, with the release of his first independent project, B4 Da Fame.  On the debut mixtape, LYVE promises to deliver the same passion and hunger that he does in his battles.
