Just the moment before everyone awakens, early morning silence and the slow feeling of experiencing the first light of the sun. A sentiment stirs in me and transforms into sound. The soft piano fills the space just as the warm breeze of morning sneaks behind the window. With the sounds that I create  a feeling appears allowing me to let them merge in harmony, wrapped in beautiful bits of poetry as titles for you to feel the full story.

Everything posted here is from 2015 to now

monokimono doet waar hij zin in heeft. Geïnspireerd door bands met sterke frontmannen als Gorki, King Krule, Destroyer, Connan Mockasin en Nick Cave trok Ben zich enkele jaren terug op zijn kamertje in Antwerpen. Met digitale synthesizers uit de late jaren '80, samplers en Ableton bricoleert hij zijn eigen sound in elkaar. Verwacht zotte samples, onaardse synthetische koortjes, Twin Peaks-gitaren en poëtische teksten. En ja, die zijn - omdat dat het enige is wat juist voelt - in het Nederlands.
