Hotel is an American rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 2016. The group was founded by singer, songwriter, & guitarist, Rick Guth. Along with Guth, Hotel consists of lead guitarist Robert Hussey, bassist Dan “Tito” Fields, drummer Jon “Big Play” May, and rhythm guitarist and harmonica player Brenden Bosworth. The band released their debut EP, “Clybourn Sessions,” in Spring 2017, which featured original recordings Bar Close, Windy City Blues, and Stealin’. The band’s heavy, guitar-driven sound is a blend of alternative country and southern rock and blues.

The band formed when the group of young professionals and BIG10 alumni met while living in the northside neighborhoods of Chicago in 2014. While the songs and their sound had been developing over a year, it wasn’t until early 2017 that the band’s aspiration of recording a full length album came to fruition under the deliberate direction of good friend and manager Connor Ptacin.
Clybourn Sessions, Hotel’s debut album, was written by Guth and influenced by a variety of styles, including Ryan Adams, Randy Rogers, William Clark Green and Jason Isbell.
