STFRD is a London-based DJ specialising in high-energy dance music, with a strong focus on hard house, trance, and techno.

His connection to the sound started early, growing up around the music through his dad from classic hard house records to the energy of UK dance floors. That early exposure shaped a deep appreciation for pace, groove, and music that’s meant to be mixed properly and played loud.

DJing comes first. STFRD is known for driving, mix-led sets built around flow, pressure, and release, blending old-school hard house attitude with euphoric trance moments and modern hard dance energy.

Having both grown up on dance music, and figuring the use of decks from an early age, both Mac & Ward turned their hand to production. The duo worked together for close to 10 years on the harder dance styles of music, before turning their hand to the house/techno scene. After years of focus and hard work they were finally recognised and picked up by the mighty Shadow Child, which saw a debut release on his Food Music imprint. This was debuted by Danny Howard on his coveted Radio 1 show. Since then the duo have featured on a host of global record labels, receiving support from major radio outlets and DJs, and had music included on compilation albums such as Fabric and Toolroom.

Nic Miranda found his passion for electronica and progressive house at the age of 14. Inspired by the likes of Sasha, Deep Dish, John Digweed, and Nick Warren and their Global Underground sets, Nic relentlessly practiced beat-matching and key mixing  after school, on his Technics — perfecting the craft of DJ'ing. He quickly rose through the local ranks, appearing twice on Dallas' 102.1 FM Edgeclub radio show, and opening for world-renowned DJs in the city's hottest nightclubs. In 2006 (at the age of 21), he went on to establish Oscuro Entertainment, a DJ and nightlife promotion firm, which garnered a massive following, and attracted talented musicians from all over the world. 

Over the years, Nic has been able to build on his Tech House sound, exhibiting a penchant for floor-shaking basslines and soul-triggering melody.
