Welcome HORI and his "The Dance of Deep Currents", setting the mood for the 2025 Pumpui stage experience.  Árpád Horváth, aka HORI, has been a dedicated observer of the underground electronic music scene since the late '80s and early '90s. As a DJ and promoter, he focuses on the bigger picture, filling gaps in the scene with fresh, truly underground music rather than following trends.  Born in 1982, his musical foundation was shaped by pioneers like Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, Art of Noise, Tangerine Dream, Giorgio Moroder, Underworld, Prodigy, Juan Atkins, Drexciya, Laurent Garnier, Plastikman, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, British Murder Boys, Percy X, and Mike Parker. With over 25 years behind the decks, he gravitates toward psychedelic and hypnotic sounds, constantly pushing beyond the mainstream in search of deeper sonic experiences. A passionate and versatile DJ, HORI favors B-sides and moves seamlessly between turntables and digital decks.  Having lived in Serbia, Hungary, the UK, and now Malta, his time in London deeply influenced his approach, making his style fluid and genre-defying. Currently, he promotes and DJs deep, dub, and spherical techno, curating podcast series and shaping the vibrant electronic music scene in Malta and beyond under @nexus.xmt.  "The Dance of Deep Currents" perfectly captures the essence of the experience HORI aimed to create. Like the unseen forces beneath the ocean’s surface shaping the world in subtle yet profound ways, this mix is designed to take you on a journey beneath the surface of sound and dance.

SHEILA presents a deep selection from Budapest’s underground. A passionate explorer of underground electronic music, Sheila began her journey about three years ago, first collecting tracks and soon after joining TRIPNIK Kollektíva, where she has been playing and organizing events for nearly two years. Her style has been shaped by a decade of festival experiences, including Ozora, along with the influence of her music-fanatic brother and close friends. Her sound gravitates around minimal, house, and dub, while also experimenting with ambient and hypnotic techno. Over the past year, she has become a steady presence in Budapest’s underground scene, performing at local venues, open-airs, and festivals across Hungary.  With TRIPNIK Kollektíva — a group of close friends who began with outdoor gatherings and grew into one of Budapest’s recognized collectives, Sheila shares a love for diverse sounds. Their events span from downtempo and dub-techno to minimal house, techno, and even dark disco, all flowing together naturally.
