Recorded a DJ set at home mainly because I miss the venues, gigs and the simple celebration of life that is normalcy. While clouds of uncertainty loom over us again, may we continue to adapt and sharpen our will to grow. 

I have been enjoying music in various new spaces and with the new year, taking the chance to share some of these newer interests with you. ⇸ I returned to Earth Frequency to perform for my seventh year, and it was absolutely phenomenal. This gathering has a very close place to my heart. Formulating a deep, grungy sequence of tunes, I delved into the far corners of techno, embellishing with euphoric moments.

This "In Memoriam" episode is dedicated to DJ PALOTAI. In November 2023, one of the most iconic DJs of Hungary, DJ Palotai (Zsolt Palotai) passed away at the age of 62. Since the early '90s, Zsolt was one of the first DJs in Hungary who began to play modern electronic, break, techno and dnb music in Hungary. He was one of the founders of Budapest-based Tilos Radio. Zsolt has been the most remembered DJ and host of the radio ever since. For more than three decades, he played at numerous parties and festivals in Hungary and abroad as well. In remembrance, we are playing his DJ-set recorded back in June 2023 at the Cökxpôn tent, at the annual fundraising festival of Tilos Radio, the Tilos Maraton.

drS is a Tampere-based producer and DJ from collectives such as SWÄG and Aamu UG. One can easily recognize his distinctive blend of melodic and psychedelic house and techno. While keeping things down-to-earth and groovy, he sets emphasis on musical diversity: organic rhythms, trippy frequencies, and storytelling through sound. His own productions, released on several international labels, revolt around atmospheric and mystical vibes.

…and everything else came happily ever after.
