A veteran of improvised live sets, Nntblst has extracted from his sessions “After me, the deluge”, the first EP of Machine Ouverte. We are proud to present this raw hypnotic techno release with a very personal universe.

Following the artistic direction of the label, the EP was composed and recorded live, the edit is only there to polish and make the set shine. Composed on a small modular case, Nntblst shows us a perfect mastery of his instrument.

The EP is composed of 5 tracks that form a coherent and flawless whole. We navigate through gritty and enchanting atmospheres, contrasted by a thumping intensity throughout the listening.

“When I am dead” welcomes us with its kick wrapped in a groovy reverb, held by a tense and excited rhythm. The spirit of the EP is already there, hidden behind a few notes of synth with a scraped texture, as haunting as desired.

“The deluge May Come” is supported by a solid rolling bass that warns us of the upcoming tension. A “straight to the point” track, full of “ear candies” that we savor with delight.

With its broken techno beat, “For Ought I Care”, is a beautiful tour de force: a tension that keeps increasing, where each part of the track makes us climb one more step, in the middle of its obsessive synth line, to end in a slow and magnificent deconstruction (or destruction?) of its texture.

With “Ruin”, we descend back into a mental and throbbing atmosphere. Its background rhythm runs like a compulsive horse and keeps us on tenterhooks. A striking track with as its climax an absolutely mind-blowing suspended break, led by a beautiful distorted feedback that gives goosebumps.

“Dead and Gone”, a condensed version of the EP’s spirit and energy, is a dancefloor killer. Driven by a roll of distorted toms in a slight delay, quickly joined by the off-beat ride, the track unfolds at the whim of totally hypnotic synth line. Nntblst shows us once again his keen sense of the break with a transposition that makes the head spin to start again in full force. We love it. This last track brilliantly concludes the journey we have been embarked on.

“After me, the deluge” is undoubtedly a mature, rich and striking EP that we can’t wait to hear in the darkness of the dance-floors.

MNPL (MoNophonic/PoLyphonic) is a Belgian electronic music duo focused on performance and improvisation, bringing together Andrea Tonero and Eliott Delafosse. With backgrounds in classical and experimental music, they first came together through ambient and noise jams, eventually refining their sound into a techno project centered around live sets with modular synthesizers. They have released several ambient and techno EPs.

In an era increasingly shaped by the influence of Artificial Intelligence, they go against the grain by offering fully improvised electronic music.

Their project is designed for live performance rather than for tracks, without being confined to a specific aesthetic. It shifts from melodic to industrial, from 140 to 160 bpm, depending on the mood.

Machine Ouverte is a label focused on the production and distribution of releases that are primarily played and recorded live. Capturing freshness and spontaneity, showcasing the “rough” side, and bringing out surprises, the label aims to highlight the unique moment of live performance as a key element in music practice and creation.

Machine Ouverte aims to place this performative aspect, improvisation, and direct experimentation at the heart of the creative process. The majority of composition and writing are concentrated in the preparation and execution phase of the live performance. Editing becomes secondary and only serves to prepare the tracks for release. While production often leaves ample room for editing, perfecting, and transforming a piece, Machine Ouverte emphasizes the raw energy of the live performance. The live performance contains surprises and happy accidents. The label values these imperfections and aims to preserve the specificities of the performance during production.

With a techno resonance, the releases freely explore a wide range of electronic music genres.

Spanish DJ and producer of electronic music, specialized in the field of Techno and vinyl mixing. 
 
As a producer, he was the first one to create a cycle of "100% Techno" events in his hometown Ceuta, working with renowned DJs and international producers in 2012.
 
In his beginnings as a DJ, he participated in important events and clubs in Spain, such as the Specka (Madrid) and the festival SunnyDay 2013 (Granada), having the opportunity to share the cabin with well known artists of the Techno scene at the time.
 
He is currently based in Santiago de Chile for 6 years. In that time he has managed to grow as a DJ, producer of events and Techno music. 
 
As a DJ, his musical influences come from the Techno like Birgmingam Techno and artists such Regis, James Ruskin and Surgeon... 
 
He has already managed to travel practically all the clubs in the country, and as an event producer he has invited international artists who never arrived in Chile, such as Oscar Mulero, Exium, Reeko, Tensal, I Hate Models, Dimi Angelis, Eduardo de the Street, SNTS, Developer and a long etc. that keeps adding. 
 
After a period of learning and investment in his production studio, he has made tracks that already sound on different labels, such as the Chilean label UTCH RECORDS where he has collaborated with two remixes, one from Pacou and one from Synthek, and a track original in the compilation “The fury of the people” where first level producers participate. 
 
Outside the Techno that characterizes him, he has his a.k, a. SalvatoreA. With which he is free to perform sessions of different electronic styles. 
 
He continues to work and contribute to the Chilean electronic culture.
