The 20th release all together the various sounds of the label V/A "The Phantom Images". With this issue we mark an important date for us - 5 years of our activity. We tried to collect our best releases and join future label artists.

Endrik Schroeder a key role in his native Grenoble's (France) electronic scene. He is known for releases on french «Zone Music» and dutch «Bordello A Parigi». Influenced initially by Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Art of Noise, Endrik Schroeder later added a love of techno, electro and Italo disco sounds to his arsenal and has now joint to Mosaique Records «5 Years Anniversary». Deep neural melodies and thoughtfulness of "Life Paradox" finally kidnap your consciousness.

Back from the wilderness. Synth in one hand, long-range camera in the other, techno’s most enduring naturist Eulberg returns to Stephan Bodzin’s Herzblut.

‘Mimikry & Mimese’ is every fathom as deep as you’d hope it to be… Both sonically, conceptually and how they draw their influence. 

‚Mimikry’ is classic Eulberg; several tales bound together into one immersive narrative where melodic phrases that at first appear disparate, gradually correlate with each other by way of delicately placed rhythmic elements and FX. With spiked melodic hooks, the elements display signs of danger, but the heart and soul – like all Eulberg tracks - is warm and friendly.

‘Mimese’ takes a similar twist to ‘Mimikry’ in that the melodic arrangement is based on distinct themes that gradually align, morph and complement each other. Deftly developed over a looser drum arrangement with much denser cosmic pads, its yet another unique story told in Eulberg’s inimitable way. 

Two whirling immersive narratives, two camouflage concepts that reveal, upon closer inspection, that all is not what it seems. Eulberg’s adventures into the wilderness continue…

Run by the French-Argentinian duo LuLúxpo and based in Barcelona since 2017, @ParadiseChildrenRecords continue their incursion into releasing music that constantly breaks genre barriers. Under the moniker @Ravage-Sentimental, singer, producer and early 90’s French DJ Miloch ’s sibling Anna Masurel lines up her sultry ‘Finnberget’ release. With an all female cast it comprises of two original moody indie dance tracks and two electronica-infused remixes by C.A.R. (@C_A_R) and Justine.

Title track ‘Finnberget’ unveils an intimate world outlined by the artist’s soft spoken lyrics. The hypnotic melody perches along a whirlwind bassline, while broody vocals add layers of mystery and magic.

On remix duties for this track is electronic off-pop producer C.A.R. who reconstructs the melody into a provocative and stimulating arrangement which really hits the spot.

WLDV - 02 - The Revive Of Darvulia

They were well organised and disciplined as they tactfully marched through the sprawling green fields. They looked out upon the land before them and surveyed the scene, this would do. As night began to fell they each set up their tents whilst one worked on building a small fire upon which they would cook. Out here in the middle of nowhere they were very much at ease, unwatched and free to be as they pleased. For they were the dissident ones, the lonely wanderers and the stray stragglers of the night.

Bytes is a Ransom Note affiliated label, an outlet for the experimental, the electronic and the exploratory. A series of musicians have been commissioned to remix "Dissident" - the sold out album from GLOK which has left listeners spellbound. 

Richard Sen is a Hackney hero of sorts, an acid and bleep pioneer, we could think of no better man up to the job.

"Danger & Love in Paradise" is an amalgamation of the British label Zone Focus' cultural fascinations. Inspired by the likes of Vice City, Drive and Giorgio Moroder, for their annual themed compilation project, they sought out artists that create and craft neo-nostalgic sounds. A retro musical direction drove the selection process, pulling tracks from Italo Disco and Indie Dance genres. Each of the twelve hand-picked artists added a distinctive sonic uniqueness to the album. Cosmic, groovy, and melodic club-ready works, all designed to timewarp the aural sense. Among the artists invited to the compilation, some personal favourites of ours: Vanity Project, Alex Aguayo, Hanzo & Yaman (SXDNS065), and Fabio Me Llaman Soltero (SXDNS187).

The track we chose to premiere, by Alex Aguayo, is an energetic and vibrant Italo/Cosmic Disco-influenced masterpiece. "Don't Let Go" is one of those tunes that possess an aura so vivid and frantic that it is kind of forbidden to listen to it without delivering yourself to dance. Even alone in your living room or balcony: Just do it!

Akin to previous releases, proceeds from this compilation will be donated to a charitable cause, specifically the WHO coronavirus relief fund. The contributions will go towards helping doctors and medical staff across the world, assisting them in battling the pandemic.

Moscow musician and DJ - Alexander Lomakin - performs his debut on @hypnoticconnection in the thirteenth issue under his pseudonym @Gegen-Mann. Alexander presented in this release a dark and somewhat melancholic synthesizer sound, balancing between electro and EBM, smoothly plunging into a hypnotic trance and unpretentiously obliging to dance. The remixes were performed by the Muzikalist and a mind friend from Moscow - Unit-83 aka Sergey Timoshov.
