After him two of the most interesting members of the UK underground scene. Hems, producer and record collector, who presents us a electroacoustic and avant gard mix and Eight Fold Way who explores the multidimensionality of sound in his experimental closing mix.

Joan Gila (joan-gila) is defined as a music connoisseur. He has been collecting records since he was 15, and his great passion is rummaging through boxes to discover hidden gems. Joan is the creative mind and curator behind the HOC radio podcast platform (@hoc-radio). Additionally, he is part of the DJ duo Binomi (@binomi) alongside his longtime friend, where they have performed at various venues in Barcelona and beyond, including notable events like Mostra Festival or Perpendicular. They also released a music talk show at Dublab Barcelona called "Geography and History." Moreover, Binomi and his partner in crime Nico have a project called HIRU, where they are in charge of creating captivating sound journeys in the Laut every two months.
This year, he launched a small cassette and digital music label based on ambient and avant-garde sounds called "Red Edge" (@red-edge-label), with a first work by ABSIS.

In this podcast, I have tried to create a sort of soundtrack inspired by dark and repetitive sounds, interspersed or juxtaposed with textures or experiments that aim to build a shifting atmosphere of intrigue and even a certain discomfort, alternating with the pleasure and serenity that deep drones provide, even when stemming from dark tones.

For this chapter, we have the DJ set that Aa Sudd performed a few weeks ago at Espacio Perpendicular as part of the pre-show of the Sables Mouvants/Alpenglühen party. Aa Sudd, the German artist who is part of the Konsudd project alongside Konduku, delivered a wonderful ambient and downtempo set, perfectly suited for that afternoon gathering. Following this, we will enjoy Tevor Handa's DJ set, which was performed at the ambient cottage during the Perpendicular Festival in late May of this year. The artist from Seville presented a classic DJ set with a 90's chill-out vibe, skillfully combining various styles, much like the genre's pioneers such as Mixmaster Morris or Alex Patterson.

Sciama's DJ set kicked off the third day of performances curated at Castell de Montjuïc for Mostra 23 (@mostrabcn). The second edition of the Catalan festival brought together a total of 1,000 people across two different locations and featured four days of musical acts. The lineup included 31 artists who delivered high-quality avant-garde and experimental electronic sounds.

Every summer, a group of friends get together to enjoy music and party in an old castle converted into a hotel, lost in Valladolid, Spain... In this 2023 edition, one of the rooms was set up to hold a horizontal music session, one single day at dawn. Due to the dimensions of the space very few people were able to enjoy these DJ sets, now they're published here for everyone to enjoy.
