Rainer Gonaus, AKA Uncertain, has been firing out slick techno releases for labels like Truncate’s WRKTRX label, Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE, and Ben Sims’ Ingoma imprint, amongst others.  On the ‘Sequence’ EP, the Austrian producer delivers another killer release for Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains.
 
Industrial clanging beats and micro disco stabs ensure that title track ‘Sequence’ is delivered with, not only ferocity, but also the funk, that makes it such an energetic and fun track, whilst ‘Machine’ plays it fast and furious, with a rib cage rattling, hulking bottom end.  
 
Wrapping up this fantastic triplet of tracks, ‘Pattern’ is a clinical and punctual high intensity techno roller of the highest order!

Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains label continues to fire out consistent and quality club bangers, and on KPAINS3, the label assembles eleven new tracks & remixes from some of the rising stars in the techno and electronica genre.
 
KPAINS3 features many of the label’s regulars, as well as some new talent shining through. From the brooding and dubby openings of KUSP’s remix of Dense & Pika’s ‘Hard Echo’, the album unfurls with a myriad of acid, rave, industrial and funky techno tracks.  Up and coming artists such as Risa Taniguchi, Anna Unusyan, Queers On Acid and Drumcomplex all deliver sterling productions, whilst new talent are also put under the spotlight, with contributions from the likes of Rawfox, Efan Feekar and The Reason Y.

Alexander Kowalski is back on 'made of Concrete'! On his new EP, he refers the ambiance and smoked-out sounds of Dub techno on all four tracks, revealing his deep and quieter producer-self. 

The ‘Reference’ EP doesn’t try to reinvent something good. Instead, it evolves and expands on its theme and chosen genre. It carries Kowalski’s musical energy like water: from the introductory ‘Reference’ with its classic dub delays and ambient sounds, to the unhurried ‘Trawl JD’. The blows and strings of technoid ‘Deep Dive 990’ add drama and dancefloor tension - until it all washes ashore with sound on the beatless finale ‘Drifting Waves’. With this release, Kowalski once again shows his solid skills and the needlessness of proving anything to anyone.

Coming on strong with the kind of angular, tonking techno that makes a mess wherever it lands, Peder Mannerfelt heralds the start of a new series called PM+. Mr. Mannerfelt’s rap sheet for extravagant strains of club music sweeps from recent expressions on Blawan and Pariah’s Voam and a collab with Klara Lewis on The Trilogy Tapes to mutant catalog entries for the likes of Hinge Finger and Numbers. He’s also whipping up a frenzy with Pär Grindvik in the midst of their new collaborative venture, Aasthma. 

Serving as a calling card embossed with subversive sound design, kinked sequencing and luminescent synth work, the two mixes of ‘All In Your Hands’ are glittering examples of the dense, abstract floor sweepers we demand in the face of a thousand techno also-rans. The thumping immediacy of the compact digi drop establishes the mode PM+ will run in, with subsequent one-two punches landing imminently from Zoe McPherson and Ciarra Black’s Carbon 96 project and a Pelican Company remix package featuring ZULI and Logos.
