Amy Anderson is a songwriter, arranger and composer for film, games, and media. She is a Meanjin Brisbane-based musician who has a retro style and a love for colourful chords. After 3 years of studying Creative Music Technology at the Griffith Conservatorium of Music, Amy has excelled in using technologies to create electronic music, and is skilled in production, mixing, sound design, and composition of surround works. Amy Anderson is a trained vocalist and guitarist for acoustic and electric guitar for over 10 years, with years of experience in live bands and choirs throughout. She has an understanding for music theory and has arranged string compositions for film, live performances, and for other artists. Another one of her passions is creating immersive surround soundscapes, by exploring the textures and spatial qualities of sound and to consider their distance, height, and position within a space. The main inspiration to her style is the works of composer Rebecca Kneubuhl, particularly with the dreamy themes composed for the game Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Another huge influence is the music she grew up with, the magic composition of Hans Zimmer, with his works alongside Bryan Adams in the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.
