Established in 1968, Madison Kat are continuing a strong musical tradition that has forged through generations. The boys thrive on edgy live performance throwing out a soundwall of grooves, harmonies and effects.

HEAVY WAX is a crew of mates drawn together by their love of playing live music, though their story starts many years prior. Following an extensive time spent honing their craft on stage, they now fulfill a dream of recording original music in the studio. 

Dropped on Oct 1st, 'In My Head' is the much anticipated first release for HEAVY WAX. With it, comes an introduction to the many layers that form their versatile sound. A solid funk rhythm section lays the platform for punchy horn lines and a catchy chorus hook; this first single soon becomes a real ear worm.

The premise of the lyrics is dealing with the monotony of working hard at something and seemingly getting nowhere. It talks about the voices in your head that question whether you really should be doing what you’re doing.

In many ways the song is the beginning of a creative journey to express their “sound”.
