OUT RUNNER is a High-Energy, #cinematic , #dreamy  & #rock n' Roll based #synthwave  Music project created in 2023 with the idea of crafting a perfect soundtrack for a story that features Jigen, a bounty hunter who leads a second life as a wandering musician in a desolate #cyberpunk world.

Out Runner is the Self-Titled Album that mixes nostalgic and retro synthesizers with punchy drums, pulsating and heart pumping bass lines and distorted, powerful guitar riffs and melodic guitar solos.

Lost City is the 4th track of the Album.

Unstable Output

Sonically cradling you with deep and honest 80's emotions Mitch Murder creates addictive retro synth masterpieces. As the story goes Mitch is an overworked Wall Street I.T. from the 80's who dreams at night other realities for himself. These are the soundtrack to his dreams.

‘The Real Deal EP’ is a throwback to the golden days of Wall Street and the five tracks were written “with the intention of re-creating that 80s Wall Street feeling; the feeling a stockbroker gets when scoring a deal.”

Loveable opener ‘Call Waiting’ is a glossy and euphoric slow-disco jam with radiant chords and retro drums that cannot fail to get you up on your toes. The jubilant ‘Digital Market Place Strategy’ then steps it up with rigid bass stabs and neon Casio keys and is an unmistakably retro disco stomper. Always sitting on the fun side of cheese, ‘Breakway’ is another gem with skittish analogue synths stepping up through the scales and twinkling off into the night.

Getting more romantic and coy, ’Outpost Alpha’ slows the pace and sinks into a still colourful but more cuddly groove before ‘Prime Operator’ closes out in a frenzy of pixelated chords and tightly programmed drums that reflect and refract bright hues all around you. It’s unashamedly joyous and celebratory stuff that brims with nostalgia.

This is an evocative and authentic offering that immediately transports you to a vibrant scene in 80s New York and does so with a real sense of charm.

Brothertiger Reimagines Iconic Albums of The Eighties 
Tears For Fears’ Songs From The Big Chair In A New Album

In the mid 1980s new wave era, with feel good singles, such as “Love Shack” and “Footloose,” at the top of the charts, confessional songs of disheartening childhood experiences was the last thing one might expect from an aspiring young band. Yet it is newcomers Tears For Fears’ dark remembrances, supported by infectious melodies, that many rock historians now cite as having struck a chord with the young recession era generation causing their debut “The Hurting” to go to number one in the UK and the top ten in the US. 

With all the pressure a success of this kind can bring, including a mass of fans anxiously awaiting new material, their next recording sessions could have easily been a play it safe affair. Instead the band pushed themselves ever further artistically, with arrangements of a much greater level of complexity and musicianship. While the lyrics of much of what would become their second album, Songs From The Big Chair, would remain introspective, it may have been the more mature and universal, coming of age themes that contributed to the album having an even wider appeal than the first one. 

In any case, with yet another string of hits from Big Chair -- including "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," "Shout," "Head over Heels," and "I Believe” -- Tears For Fears would find themselves not only standing head to head with the best acts of the day, it earned them the status of having one of the most successful albums of the Eighties. Today these songs remain permanent fixtures on classic radio, and Big Chair is now considered among the most important albums of the decade. 

Brothertiger Plays Songs From The Big Chair pays tribute Tears For Fears’ influential gem by giving it a modern take. Brothertiger is the alias of electronically-fueled John Jagos, a musician and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Jagos’ passion for making music started out of his college dorm room at Ohio University in 2010. The Vision Tunnels EP was his first proper release, and soon after, he signed with Mush Records to release 3 subsequent albums.  

"Covering this album was gratifying, challenging, and truly inspiring” John Lagos says of the process. “I never thought I'd ever get a chance to be able to cover an entire album, let alone an album I truly care about. I feel so fortunate to be able to cover one of my favorite records in my own style and my own approach."

Brothertiger’s style complies with the vision Tears For Fears had 32 years ago, and by working with Reimagine, Brothertiger Plays Songs From The Big Chair helps to shed new life and give new meaning to an iconic piece of music that should never be forgotten.

Introducing Tesla Boy's 'The Universe Made Of Darkness', the highly anticipated second album out today. 

Having released tantalizing previews such as '1991', an infectiously optimistic groove, Tesla Boy takes their previous albums' 80’s inspired synth sounds to even further heights with the new LP. Second single 'M.C.H.T.E.' is a bouncy and percussion heavy track with rhythmic, funky bass lines and synths that flicker across the surface. 'Broken Doll' sees the band team up with London crooner Tyson to create a dark, full-bodied and sensual track. As the chorus of the track would suggest, 'Broken Doll' is an invitation to the dance floor, with Tyson's vocals positively electrifying as he asks, "Do you want to dance?"
