Menqui is a Berlin-based music enthusiast, always on the hunt for musical treasures ranging from all around the globe. Aside from his immaculate credentials as a DJ, he is part of the monthly radio show „Past Forward“ on Cashmere Radio, co-curates the R.i.O. label and produces music as one third of the „Dolphins“. His mixtapes are mainly made to float away and dream to, but if you’ve ever heard him out you will be aware that he also feels at home in a more dancefloor orientated environment

Saeko Killy is a Berlin-based DJ and producer who started on the Tokyo scene before finding her place in the orbit of the Sameheads club. Her productions skillfully combine elements of dub, post-punk, and kraut with electronic rhythms.

In this programme, we mainly look at lesser-known artists in American soul music, most of whom only released a few singles. Due to the mass of recordings and the supremacy of the major labels such as Motown from Detroit, Stax from Memphis, Atlantic from New York or Chess from Chicago, many great artists faded into the background. They disappeared from the scene after just a few recordings and lived a life away from show business. We dedicate this programme to them.
