🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Nov. 6/23🔥 - The previous versions of "Revenge Of Mr. X" sounded pretty good, but for this one, I needed to bring my AAA game. I believe it's never sounded better, especially with the mixture of heavy metal rhythm and twin lead guitars to bring out the menace and mayhem of Yuzo Koshiro's original composition. The song also pays tribute to "Big Boss" from Streets of Rage 1, with an identical ending passage to link the two games together. 

NOTE: This is the "Final Crash" edition of the song, in reference to the last time I will be touching the original SOR soundtracks. I now consider them totally complete.

I really like the music from the Sonic games and decided to remaster one of my favourites!

This was made over the course of three evenings. I listened to the original song (don't ask me how many times) and I just picked everything out by ear and then put it into Logic Pro. No loops or preset synths were used and all sound effects were created by me using a field recorder. This was a very fun small project to work on and I hope you all enjoy it!

🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Oct. 25/23🔥 - "Stealthy Steps" is one of the tracks I am most proud of. The original song was very simple, very light in terms of content, and didn't really have much going for it. My expansion was intended to make it seem as if the original song was but an intro for what's to come, and I think I've achieved that here. It references Yuzo Koshiro's original composition at every turn, while amplifying it with an expansion that builds, and Builds...and BUILDS...before circling back again. I love it, and no matter how many times I hear it, it still brings a smile to my face.

🔥FINAL CRASH UPDATE / Oct. 25/23🔥 - "You Became The Bad Guy!" had a simple premise - sound like a darker take on the game's main theme. However, there wasn't much to the original song, which is why I wanted to tackle it so badly. My expansion is a completely new composition that takes those scant few elements from the original, and creates a totally different listening experience in the process. The result is more emotion, more power, and more references to other Streets of Rage themes to create a canonical harmony between them all.
