I was in New York for the New Music Seminar and got to meet Seymour and Madonna in Danceteria. Mark Kamins enthusiastically told me Madonna was brilliant and that I should book her in London. All I did was agree with them both.

It's been almost half a year since I've uploaded anything to Soundcloud, wow the time flies! I've had this sitting on the back burner on my "wish list" of songs to cover- I did this in one shot tonight and improvised some of the harmonies/verse decorations etc.  If you've never seen "Streets of Fire" I recommend it for a great 80's soundtrack with a musical theatre vibe as well as the variety of music styles on it. It's SUPER campy (lol) and at times hilarious, but with a very serious overtone- the lead female character, played by Diane Lane- is unbelievable in it. Rick Moranis and Willem DaFoe are in it too. I hope to cover more from this soundtrack if I can get my hands on some good backing tracks! "Tonight is what is means to be young" would be the ultimate one... ~Christina

All I did was agree with them both.

“Seymour sent me the master for a UK mix and I booked Madonna to do a PA at the club and to sing my mix. She declined, as she wasn’t keen on my version. She did her own show and joked with me that I was a crap DJ from the stage. Later, at Trident Studios, she said she wasn’t joking and hated my mix.”

	Unique mixes on both sides, remixed by Rusty Egan, so the a-side is neither the UK album mix nor the US edit. And the dub version is not the same as the one you will find on the US 12" either.

The UK 12" also had different mixes, once again both unique.

I read somewhere that Madonna heard them, didn't particularly like them, so there was no desire nor demand for them to reappear in the US. I think one of the UK 12" mixes has appeared on another single somewhere overseas, but none of these mixes have ever been made available on CD or in the US, as far as I know.
