Every artist hits a point where polish starts to feel like a cage. In Constant Evolution is Madd Rod’s way of breaking out.

His third studio album follows Sad Behaviour (Discotexas, 2023), a record that marked his transition toward something rougher, freer, and more emotionally charged. This time, Madd Rod takes that instinct to its logical conclusion: imperfection and rawness not as failure, but as a way to keep it real.

Across thirteen tracks, In Constant Evolution drifts between EBM, Electro, Indie Dance, and Krautrock with unfiltered emotion. The warmth of analog gear, the hum of room noise, and the occasional slip of timing are all left in as part of the texture: a quiet protest against overproduction packaged as an album that sounds lived-in.

As founder of Inner Shah Recordings, Madd Rod isn’t chasing perfection. He’s documenting the process of becoming. In an industry that sells the illusion of resolution, In Constant Evolution is a reminder that the cracks are where the light gets in.

After just 6 months since first seeing Big Yawn perform, we are thrilled to welcome them to the Research family. A compelling prelude to their debut album "No!" due out in late 2019.

Over six years the Melbourne-based group has evolved, with members of the band running various releases through label and collective Fallopian Tunes. As of 2019, Big Yawn had become a four-member music group, motivated by a history of studio production, prolific collaboration and quality hangout time.

The groups freshest effort 'Skin Rat/Thomas' captures the band performing live in the studio, and it's typical Big Yawn: fat and punchy low-end bass; drums and live drum processing; delay fx samples; thick syrupy synths. 'Skin Rat' is a hyperbolically dubbed out, tongue in cheek, magnetic blend of UK garage, footwork and breaks. And 'Thomas' takes cues from a slightly damaged post-punk sound, amplifying a brittle and sinister type of atomic porn-funk.

Limited to 200 copies. Hand numbered and housed in a screen-printed sleeve, artwork by Julian Hocking.

Andy Vaz is a heavy hitter who has helmed labels such as Background Recordings, A Touch Of Class, and Yore Records, and released music from artists like Donnacha Costello, Terrence Dixon, and Jan Jelinek. He is also a storied live musician and DJ, who even played Galatos about 15 years ago. In time with his latest release One for Choutsugai [Vaz-Up] he's dealt us a jacking and acid-filled hour of power.

Oubli music and Amok Radio founder @dj_ux kicked of his ‘Ridin Rhytms’ with a house based, bumpy ride filled with fresh heaters, in-store digs and tracks that would have been staples in his selection across clubs last summer if it wasn’t for... well, you know.

Ridin Rhythms is a bi-weekly show operated by Dj Ux on Amok Radio. Always taking you on a ride, no matter from which genre or period he'll pick up music. Sometimes alone, sometimes with guests guaranteeing a smooth ride through the chosen sounds.

Coming as a part from the music collective "Oubli", now joining forces with Skopski Groove and Wax Revival Store as Amok Radio he established himself as a solid pusher on the dance scene in Skopje, even holding a two year residency at "Sektor 909".
