There have been iconic scenes abound in Dance music's colorful past, and today our good friend Steve Obi is taking us right back to Madchester's summer of love in 1988. 

Beefed up disco basslines hidden behind bars of gorgeous tribal percussion, with smatterings of acid and Hip-Hop breaks. It was an iconic year where House jetted across the pond, arriving in Europe and being changed forever. What was a niche underground genre in America would become the defining sound of the following decade for most of the Old World. Friend began his journey as a music journalist in 2010 founding @psymedia before taking up DJing 2017. In 2018 he moved from South Africa to Vietnam and quickly established himself as a formidable DJ and promoter in the region. From sandy beaches down south to mystical caves up north, Friend played at many reputable clubs, festivals and tropical jungle raves such as Studio Adventure, Savage, Retreat (Equation), We Groove and Equinox Festival. His creatively curated 'This Is' club nights and prolific sunrise afterparties in Hanoi under his humble record label @magicboxengine also played a pivotal role in shaping the city's underground music scene.

Since returning to Cape Town in 2021, Friend has performed at renowned festivals and prolific venues such as Wolfkop Weekender, Bazique, Habitat, Into The Wild, Afrikaburn, Origin Festival and Modular Club. Often eclectic, sometimes obscure, always tasteful - Friend's forever evolving sound is heavily influenced by his nomadic travels in SE Asia, South America and Europe. Never shy to switch up the genre or tempo, his versatile approach sees him blending elements of ambient, house, minimal, techno, electro and breakbeats spanning both new school and old.

Andrea Fluver has always been a traveller looking for answers.

Originally from Russia,

Andrea was born in Germany and grew up in Moscow. 

Choosing the path of freedom and adventure he moved to Asia in 2012. 

In 2016, he found his answers in the rhythm of progressive & techno music. 

Now based on the sunny island of Koh Samui in the South of Thailand, Fluver is a familiar face behind the decks on Samui and its sister island,  Koh Phangan.

His style has moved on to conceptual, minimal techno, and is known amongst the Russian underground community for dropping heavy tracks on the dance floor.

In 2019 Fluver joined the popular underground music collective in Samui, and is now a resident of local party starters "Sons of the Moon". 

Having found his sound and audience on these magical islands , he's in constant exploration for new inspiration to bring to the dance floor .Working in music Styles -  / House / Deep / Deep Tech / Minimal  / Dub Techno /Acid House /
