This mix comes from a special night to remember. Huacas Restaurant is one of the most highly regarded places to dine and vibe in our beautiful town of Nosara. Located atop the mountain overlooking the south bay of Playa Guiones, Huacas features incredible sunsets and equally impressive gastronomy. Chef Paulo Valerios has been running a series called "Huacas Meets", in which he invites other top choice eateries around town to join him in a collaborative effort to create amazing dishes. For his third installment, he asked us to participate by way of pairing music to each dish of a 10 course, forest themed meal. Our resident @burikavibes stepped up to the plate (pun intended), digging deep and playing tunes specially selected for the ingredients, textures, and aromas of each course. It was not the normal Lost Forest event, but we were incredibly pleased with the results and we hope to do another one next summer. Go deep, feast your ears on this selection. Buen provecho!

We are continuing to release amazing sets from The Nightsky Celebration, one after the other. They have become our obsession. Wow!

Drift off on the cosmic trip created by Goro and Lev Tatarov. We were so happy to have them perform together on the Karismatik stage, as they are family to us and, we were always big fans of their music. 

They are truly musical geniuses who understand how to elevate the audience. Bravo loves. The performance was spot on!

We can't wait to go back for a bit!!!!

Burika is the artistic endeavor of Mason Dunn, born in the US but residing in Costa Rica for nearly half of his life. Surfer, waterman, DJ, music producer, and resident of Lost Forest, Burika spends his days in the ocean and in the studio, and spends many nights behind the decks, crafting stories via frequencies. 

With a range from downtempo to techno, his expression is not limited to a single genre or velocity, but rather adequate for whatever the moment may require. With releases on a variety of noteworthy labels, Burika is ecstatic to join Magician On Duty for his next release. 

His upcoming EP is supported by the likes of:

In der elektronischen Musik verzeichnet schneller Techno seit knapp 2-3 Jahren Hochkonjunktur. Passend zum Charakter dieses Subgenres hat sich auch das gemeinsame Feiern und Tanzen verändert. Das ganze Spektakel erscheint uniform statt individuell. Durch diesen Zustand der Masse entsteht eine einzigartige und hochpotente Energie. Dieses Phänomen wirkt anziehend und ekstatisch. Häufig möchte man auch gar nicht mehr zurück. Man ist in der Szene aufgegangen, vielleicht auch ein bisschen gefangen. Doch die Vielfalt macht die elektronische Musik auch aus, also gib sie nicht auf.
