Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

The french reptile delivers a 3-tracks EP (out 2nd of March), going out of his comfort zone to present a different side of his inspiration. Usually going into details and organic textures, this time he went for a raw and electronic approach to get a more ravey sound, without leaving aside his taste for "structured destructuration", quirky samples, cheeky elements and mixing together different music styles.

"Ponies In The Sky" is a collaboration with Sāgarā, relating to a fictional shrooms bad trip in which the character describes her sensations & impressions. The song is really evolving, changing tempo, with a psychedelic intro, pop/reggaeton sung part, and deep dubstep 2nd part.

Kleintierschaukel’s first release on Akumandra presents an unstable proximity to the archaic, with equatorial acoustics that modulate between organic and synthetic states. Drum'N'Feels is about the re-enchantment of culturally heavy sampling - an acknowledgment to an indigenous sound that warps the perception of home and away.

The first track, Long Time Ago, utilizes sporadic square waves as the engine and embellishes with a series of sensory sound cyclones.

Crazy Dayz is an auditory story telling of an event horizon that is never fully approached. Arbitrary vocals and low swells allude to the dynamic haze of nighttime euphoria.

The syncopated guitar strum provides an omnipresent reality to Kidz of Tibet - a deconstruction of a desolate, desert melody to form a vacant audio-synthesis.

Buffi and the Dolphins, the final track of the EP, is a full-bodied submersion into subterranean liquid percussion. The splurge on cavernous sampling builds the frequency layers needed for this multi-textural sound.

Most of the animal sounds you can hear in the set was recorded up in the jungle where we stayed for a week.
