We danced to celebrate and embrace Life, tell ourselves that death does not exist, only the spiral 🌀 of life does, and she exists still in our hearts and love for each other.

Abwechslungsweise stehen wir ruhig und abgetaucht da, wachsen in die subtilen rhythmischen Treibelemente und warmen Klangflächen – dann plötzlich entreisst Steinfels uns aus dem konzertanten Break und unser Hinterteil der Kontrolle. Spätestens als das reprogrammierte «In the Hall oft he Mountain King» anspielt, verstehen wir. Diese Perkussion, welche sich durch die grauesten aller Zellen befreit und von Hirnrinde zu Hirnrinde spickt, erlaubt uns unerwartet mehr als 15% unserer geistigen Kapazität abzurufen. Erneut nimmt das Break erst zwei Plot Twists bevor uns ein aggressiver Synth in die Eskalation drückt. Und auch das Kauz spielt die genial ausgerichtete Anlage wieder mal geschickt aus. Die Elemente zischen über die Tanzfläche und beleuchten jede Ecke mit ihrer eigenen Stimmung. So schön, dass dieses Meisterwerk geteilt werden darf – danke Daniel für dein kaum fassbares Schaffen.

Time to awake 

„Stell dir vor es ist Krieg und keiner geht hin.“ 
Es beginnt mit einer Lüge. Ein Ereignis wird instrumentalisiert, ein Feinbild kreiert und eine zweckdienliche Gruppe entsprechend dämonisiert. Die Herrscher und ihre Sprachorgane teilen die Menschen ein in wir und die. Denn wahren Zweck erfährt man in der Regel spät bis nie. Angeblich kämpft man für Land, Leute oder den Glauben. Tatsache ist, man soll anderen Menschen ihres Lebens berauben. Im Feld hebt man dann seine Faust, sein Schwert oder Blei gegen einen Bruder. Erschlägt einen Vater, Ehemann oder Sohn. In der Gewissheit man tut es für Ehre, Rum und einen angemessenen Lohn. Doch irgendwann kommt dieser eine Augenblick, man erkennt sein und seines Gegenübers Missgeschick. Dann sickert die Erkenntnis klar und deutlich in sie alle ein. Jeder von ihnen ging einem Lügenkonstrukt auf den Leim. Also lässt man das Morden und die Grausamkeiten sein und geht einfach wieder heim. 
Die Eingangs zitierte Allegorie soll an die Kraft des Individuums erinnern. Jeder hat Schwächen und keiner ist unfehlbar. Jedoch sind Menschen lern- und entwicklungsfähig. Hab den Mut dich dieser Fähigkeiten zu bedienen. Erkenne dich selbst und dein wahres Wesen. Durch das Wissen um dieses Fundament, lösen sich alle Ängste und wie von selbst beginnst du Brücken zu errichten.
Das Set von Deisen ist wie ein Spiegelbild der Seele. Gelassen in seiner Mitte ruhend und dennoch kraftvoll. Aufbrausend wie Gischt auf See, doch in den richtigen Momenten versöhnlich wie der Sonnenaufgang nach einer langen Nacht.

The recent return to Blond:ish’s Abracadabra label with his “Muted Memories” EP in 2020, is another milestone on West & Hilll’s impressive footpring this year. With releases on labels like Connected, JEUDI and Stripped Down Recordings as well as with performances at festivals like Time Warp, DGTL, STRAF_WERK and many, The dutch newcomer is definitely not considered a stranger to the scene anymore.

Soulful rhythms combined with a rather low bpm are a very typical trademark of his vibe. His tracks already gained the attention by the likes of Black Coffee, Adana Twins, Adam Port, Pablo Fierro and many more.
