Founded in 2015 by musicians and producers Tom Magalhaes and Mik Justin, GrooveCut Records is an independent music label based in Lisbon, Portugal that started as a means to escape the creative control of major labels, and to act as a community of like minded individuals who want to release music of a more underground nature, and disseminate the message from the source. Their passion for music has led them to scavenge the streets beyond trends or expectations for the best sounds in town.

Bill Bass aka Mechanist is an artist/producer/remixer and owner of the Intersum label based in Southampton, England. 
In his almost 15 year journey he has covered many styles of electronic music all bound together by minimalism, atmospheric textures and deep, personal and emotional harmonies. 

During this time he has released with labels such as Silent Season, NFEREE, Space Textures and Circular Limited - and continued to develop his idiosyncratic style that draws inspiration from a myriad of styles and ideas. 

In 2024, taking a step away from the Mechanist project and Intersum label he plans to embark on a new journey under the name Exesti.
