My name is Stuart Niven but some people used to know me as DJ Torsion when I used to play a variety of Italian, Spanish and other European house, trance and hardcore at parties in the North East of England in the mid 1990's as well as Scottish bouncy techno and hardcore, hard and acid techno, hard house and Euro-trance music in clubs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and sometimes Leeds in the late 90's. I started DJ'ing when I was about 14 and bought a pair of basic turntables and mixer, then about a year later upgraded in 1994 to belt drive Soundlab turntables then in 1997 splashed out and bought some Direct Drive technics MKII SL-1210's which I still own and they still work perfectly. I was very active as a raver and clubber in the 90's ,moving away from the scene in the 00's but never stopped loving the music which I listen to every day while working and driving. I am hoping to start mixing again and recording it for the world to hear so watch this space for new uploads!
