The composition is based on recorded improvisations with the Serge and Buchla analog synthesizers and some layers composed with the VCV virtual Eurorack.
My exploration of electronic music started in 1982, using an EMS Synthi E, followed by the EMS AKS and a Minimoog. For about a decade, I only used analog gear before joining computer and synthesizers in the early 1990th.
Even though the computer has taken over most of my sound processing and composition tools, I'm revisiting my old friends from time to time.

Alte - Freunde Binaural

Esther Lamneck and Mahoor Pourmoghadam began their collaboration through her compositions which were performed and recorded by the NYUNME while  Esther Lamneck was the artistic director. Both artists were intrigued with ethnic music and wanted to explore the combination of sounds possible with voice and tarogato in this artistic genre. 
Mahoor is singing in Persian in “Korde Bayat”. This work intertwines the phrases, colors and the sonic exploration of the two performers.

Wind Trails - Mahoor Pourmoghadam, Esther Lamneck

Having selected the material including some notes played with Cello – Kamancheh, singing along
with some sounds from the surrounding environment, I started composing this piece.
There has been no recording and fine tuning in a studio and all of the pieces have been recorded on mobile phone and ZOOM H6 recorder. I have played and recorded all instruments myself and no part
has been either midi or pre-recorded.
I began composing the piece on Adobe Audition Software and having fine-tuned the sounds, I have used architectural construction/creation and shadow techniques. There have been almost 20 layers
of work composed on this software and after obtaining the preliminary output, I continued working on the piece on Logic software where I added 35 more layers and finally produced a 4-channel piece.
This is the first piece I have composed electro-acoustically.
