In the depths of a sonic graveyard, among forgotten rhythms and dusty echoes, Fatrolla and Nervorum have unearthed what the dance floors have long been waiting for. Their new release Grooveyard on DEEPNAS is bass archaeology, where each track feels as if it’s been dug from the depths of time, stripped of the excess, and framed in fresh energy. Germany's most esoteric and exciting drum & bass production duo Rawtekk present their neurofunk fire with the ‘Here’s To Them (Remixes)’ EP. Get to grips with warped re-works from Joe Ford, Disprove, Woulg and Audeka of four highlight tracks from their latest studio album.

Shogun Audio warrior Joe Ford brings a cataclysmic energy that keeps things dark, hard-hitting and raw. His harrowing remix of ‘Restless’ is all manner of neurofunk madness.

Disprove sinks his teeth into title track ‘Here’s To Them’. Unashamedly powerful with Christine Rawtekk’s spine tingling vocal matched to the sheer force of the fellow Hamburg resident’s production. This one comes with a warning: not for the faint-hearted.

Audeka switches it up with an incredibly complex down-tempo number. ‘K.I.A’ is a blissful techy lullaby, cementing this USA-based trio as one of the most experimental and cutting edge on the circuit. Following suit, Woulg (ft. Lbardsley) sees avant-garde soundscapes moulded with mechanical precision take shape in ‘My Love’.

Back on that collab business, the boys in VC are once again skimming the delicious cream off the top of the dnb scene, and bringing you a tasty release of hard-hitting partnerships, featuring some new alliances, as well as some stellar remixes of previous tunes. 

The first two in the series saw some massive meetings of producer talents, with the lads teaming up with Wingz, Kyrist, Vowel, Philth, and many other big and emerging names in the scene. 

Vol. 3 is no different, be it the maxxed out neuro banger of 'Vobelord' with ABIS, or the slick, rolling sounds of 'Gully Tuckshop' with Primitive Instinct; the unique styles that emerge when two creative forces come together is undeniable. This release also sees them go head to head with the mighty Cruk on 'Bindipper', which as the name suggests is an absolute stinker! Philth returns again as a collaborator on 'Flags', a moody cut of deep, 4am tech. 

On remix duties, this release just gets silly. Kyrist puts her spin on the VC & Vowel track 'Dispersed', and takes it to a very dark, very nasty place. Creatures then steps in by reworking her collab 'Rolex' into a big, steppy slice of techy drum and bass. Two producers who continue to make a serious impact on the scene coming together, it was never gunna be anything less than absolutely ridiculous, and these tracks don't disappoint! 

This series continues to show the power of producers putting their brains & laptops together, as well as presenting a cross-section of the stupidly good talent overflowing from the scene at the minute! Not one to be missed for sure, this series is an essential arsenal of mental tunes for any dnb dj.

We're heading straight in at the deep end for this one. "Bringing you the modern sounds of Drum and Bass", Noxious Records return with just the latest in their stonking series of official releases, this time bringing through the infinitely-talented Missledz. The Aus-born, now Bristol-based producer already has a striking back catalogue of label releases, as well as heavy support from the likes of Rene LaVice, Fre4knc, Quadrant & Iris, Revaux & more. She also holds down as a residency for Bristolian party-starters Rotations, and maintains a position as A&R for Boey Audio, adding yet more strings to her multi-faceted bow. This effort, 'Eff You', throws up a bass-etched middle finger whilst retaining the minimal, submerged slickness that Noxious is celebrated for - we're predicting huge things on the horizon for both parties. Gritty.
