As soon as Chop suey Joint completed their third CD in 2009, they set to work on new songs. Ten years later, the first of these new pieces of music emerges in the form of Love Making Music. a labour of love for all involved. Listeners who are familiar with the components that make up a Chop Suey Joint composition will instantly recognise the dynamic at work in this lush organic slice of jazz. Compared to the vast majority of the body of work that Chop Suey Joint have recorded over the last two decades, while this sonic adventure may be somewhat more minimalistic as regards the number of players, the high quality of the musicians coupled with their innate rapport means that it is nonetheless bursting with pretty ideas and melodies.
