025 - BAMBI

First up for our MixX and Podcast series is @Tadan127 who is based in London but originally comes from the mystical Shaman town of Kuršėnai. Not only an outstanding producer and the creator of MANA001 but also a class A digger and DJ + head honcho of @area127, a place focused on artist collabos and rough live takes while catching the flow, the moment. We discovered Tadan due to the release of his extraordinary album "Neoshamanism" on @electric_shapes. Play out loud and indulge in the dance of the pucks.

Second in our series we have @ensuree on board of our flying cauldron. The Copenhagen based newcomer became one of our favorite selectors when it's about slow to mid tempo Trance experiences and such a talented DJ and musician, the name speaks for itself. This is by far the quickest mix she ever recorded. Coming from a classical music background in form of flute studies and singing, music was always an important part of her life. Over Deep Techno like Dozzy, northern electronics and Postpunk she made her way to digging in the crates for old Goa records and slowing them down like Grand Mage Professor Vladimir revealed to us. Besides her creative expression she studied biochemistry, ergo modern witchcraft. You'll hear more from her in the near future, we ensure you.

Hello deer creepy new world. We think there is nothing more reliable and mythical than a true wanderer story. London dungeons finest four have set together for the approval of this one. We believe in the Goblins strength and Boss Gobbo @wes-baggaley is lurking in the shadows for a long long time has prepared this swampy pleasure of a mixX for us.

Spell Cast 003 - Wes Baggeley

Hailing from Minsk, Belarus, @Viikatory is a DJ and Producer generally specialized in fast-paced Electro but she has surprised us with some magical Goa Trance demos. So does the mix she has prepared for us.
Active as Producer and DJ since 2019 Viikatory has absorbed production techniques at a fierce pace, classical training from a young age adds a harmonic side to her gritty and high-momentum tracks. Her tracks have featured on compilations from labels such as Warning, Lap Records and Crazed Behaviors. Also, not so long ago, her solo tape release “Maiden Voyage” and high speed collaboration with Jensen Interceptor “I Just Want 2 Dance” was out on International Chrome. Future vinyl releases include Mutual Pleasure, Juice Gang records and surprise surprise Mana Abundance.

Spell Cast 004 - Viikatory

Okouru is a Parisian music selector, based in Copenhagen nowadays. Usually he plays a wide range of sounds from Trance, Psy-Trance, Techno, Progressive House and anything in between. You can find him play at local venues such as Ved Siden Af, Jolene and Hangaren. He recently made his Berlin debut at ://about.blank for Zement Techno and also played for our beloved @warningberlin at Camp Warning. He recorded that excellent Trance mix for your and our listening pleasure.

Spell Cast 005 - Okouru

Next up in our mix series is the Naarm/Melbourne based DJ & producer, Tangerine, a central figure in the local scene known for both her DJ and live-sets. She recently debuted with her singel EP, 'First Breath', where she unites two divergent approaches: her productions are just as chaotic as delicate, embracing the beauty of contradiction.

With this mix Tangerine blends psychedelic and trippy rhytms, with emotional soundscapes, and the mix works just as good at home, as in club sceneries. A true trip!

For our fourth artist this month we have the London-based Lithuanian dj and producer currently pursuing the new ag techno~trance sound. The dedicated digger and head honcho of area127, a place focused on artist collaborations and live jams, is always in search of transcending in flow state and catching the moment. He is always creating a hypnotic atmosphere in his sets and mixing various music genres to keep it interesting. His releases range from pure electro all the way to trance being released by labels like Mana Abundance & Electric Shapes.
Today he enlightens us with a blend of sped-up tribal, breaks & techno, enjoy.

Hailing from Japan, TAKAKO was previously a member of ラズマタズ白書, an event/AV collective based in Fukuoka consisting of women only DJs and artists, who kept their scene fresh by hosting a steady string of monthly parties focusing on local DJs.
To continue pursuing her growing passion for sound, Takako re-located to Berlin where she currently studies sound design. As a DJ she is known for presenting genre bending selections of thrilling techno, percussive trance and pure D'n'B.

Probably our last Down To Earth night we put on alongside Public Affair and @pressuredome at Strange Brew in Bristol a few weeks ago. The energy and positivity in that room was the best I’ve felt in a while and all the DJs were sick. The party was a mega success and being able to run it with friends made it all the more rewarding.

New @remotif mix on @deephouse-tehran, I think I’ve listened to it about 20 times. I’ve not heard a mix from Joe in this lane before, deep, broken, low-slung flowing into trancey goodness. It’s a cracker.

This is a tricky one, there are loads so I’m gonna shout out a few. @call-super in The Quarry on a rainy night at Houghton 2018, SASS at Glasto 2022 on Genosys and @moonear at Wigflex in Notts 2020. I think Space Cadets (@adampits + @liseneuk) in The Woods at @secret-garden-party last year takes it though, fucking loved that.

Dark matter cannot be seen or observed in any way, yet it is there and holds everything together, contributing more than a quarter of the total mass-energy of our universe. Such an unexplored, obscure entity has such a huge impact on our entire existence, which seems fascinating and frightening at the same time. But don’t despair! Our adept Nera is here to explore the dark phenomenon from all angles. 

Hailing from the outskirts of Amsterdam, Nera is managing editor of the renowned platform Minimal Collective, which fruitfully operates at the intersection of music, art and technology. But not only that: She also leaves her mark on the scene with her own musical vision and her well-balanced selections of psychedelic rhythms and progressive gems with perfectly timed trips into the depths of layered emotive basslines.

Nera lifts off with repetetive and minimalist structures that get soon combined with eerie atmospheres. With the addition of more playful sounds this mix gradually builds up into a mind-bending story that visits a variety of uncharted cosmic locations, culminating in heavy bassline drivers topped by intense psychedelics. In the process, Nera is developing her very own interpretation of dark hypnotism with great class. Nomen est omen!
