Originally performed LIVE on 4-turntables alongside our Sax and Guitar players, we've gone back and re-recorded the Saxophone just for this mix!

Our Aprés Skii Party at Shambhala this summer was a off the hook!  Originally we weren’t going to post our set because it contained a few of the same tracks as our Fresh Tracks Vol 2 mix and we wanted to release a mix with strictly new material.  However, after being overwhelmed by an avalanche of positive feedback & requests for this set, we caved in.  (For the record: There are only 5 of our original productions that have been repeated)

What you are getting in this mix are 47 tracks with 19 of those being original SkiiTour tracks/edits.

What you are missing is a blasting snow machine, a fired-up sea of dancers,  and the amazing MC work of Timothy Wisdom & Dash (from the Root Sellers).  You are also missing the technical glitches towards the end of our set when both our computers melted down from the extreme heat.

"10 years of Bliss Coast and the journey goes on. Each year has been a monumental effort and my long-term goal to achieve 10 volumes comes to completion with the release of Muse & Marvel. Over the years many fans have told me how much they still love volume 1, Grass & Gospel. So to round out the series I decided to revisit the year one theme and produce another set of bluegrass and gospel songs refreshed for the festival dancefloor and maximum smiles. Bass Coast 2018

This set was the final closing set on Monday morning at Bass Coast 2018 on Slay Bay Stage. It was recorded live off the video board and you can feel the spontaneous imperfection.  Morning sets are all about living in the moment, sharing the first rays of sunlight as they warm up the ground, and feeling a connection with everyone else there. The closing hours of the festival are gentle, quirky, and full of beauty. This mix is a lush and warm collection of my favourite sounds from various artists.  I hope you enjoy.  PS the recording was clipping so it's a little rough around the edges...but thought I'd share anyway.

Tidigare har Invisible Guy samarbetat med Beläten och gett er en värld full av dystopiska klangljud, sinnesrubbad industrial och militärisk pop. Denna gången har Invisible Guy däremot tagit sig till helt andra vidder.

Han ville ha någonting som inte gjorts förut, något som skulle kunna betecknas som pop. Därför gav han Esau Alcona från Esau.se i uppdrag att skapa ett mixtape, och det gjorde han. Resultatet blev en magnifik blandning som enbart upphovsmannen kan beskriva och så även gör med egna ord:

"När den brittiska tidningen The Guardian listade olika musikgenres från
2012 var det många som satte kaffet i vrångstrupen. Vem hade hört talas om
Hipster House, Scandibeat eller Ooze? Vad hände med pop och rock? Vi
befinner oss i en tidsålder där genres per se har förlorat mycket av sin
innebörd.

Att skapa nya genres, att skriva ut nya etiketter, är ett sätt att
definiera det odefinierbara. En bra låt är en bra låt heter det. Men EN bra
genre är svårare. Och så länge vi kan skapa egna genres i all oändlighet
finns det inte längre någon begränsning av bra låtar.

När DIY-banden får fria tyglar i den lekpark vi kallar internet kan vad som
helst hända. Faktum är att det händer hela tiden. Resultatet är likt
pornografi för mina öron. Den ohämmade kreativiteten flödar i en aldrig
sinande ström. Och det är vackert. Mycket vackert.

Esau.se och Invisible Guy presenterar: Hipster Porn mixtape!

The more we live in the new realities, the harder it becomes to imagine what life would be like if the virus thing had not happened at all. It’s only a matter of time when we’ll run out of days we had planned before the pandemic, which became invisible pages in some unwritten book. We’ll then come to terms with the new days, realizing that we are going to divide life before the isolation and after it, stuck amid some incomprehensible present, a what-we-could-have-done past and the what-comes-ahead future. No matter how fast we come to terms with the fact that we need to redefine and re-plan everything, and no matter how soon we decide to abstain from planning anything at all, we are nonetheless going to have a small and insignificant feeling of regret for the days we thought were important and were going to change the way we felt and the way saw things. And those “unfulfilled days” will remain the only link between the former and future realities.
@vikenarman and @acidpauli’s six-hour set they played at @Rambalkoshe marked, in some sense, the beginning of their joint performances. They were supposed to play b2b all night long at Berlin’s Watergate club today to officially kick start the new chapter both of them were so passionate about. To celebrate such a milestone, we are publishing an excerpt from the set this unbelievable symbiosis played at Rambalkoshe a year ago and took around hundred people to a different dimension, filled with nothing but incredible and infinite energy.

I played a 2 hour set one night at a small gathering some time ago and never recorded it, so did a live stream of it while re-recording it so I could share it with all you fine people (with some refinement, so it wasn't so long). So grateful to those who create spaces where we can come together and dance, hoping that will happen again sometime soon. Originally played and then live-streamed on shishálh Nation land.

Full Moon Aqua Lucidity Live Stream

This bad gyal has been a long-time staple in Vancouver's underground bass scene for almost two decades. She started out by spending countless hours digging elbow-deep in crates of 45s in Canada, the US and Jamaica. Her finely curated sets landed her behind the decks continuously and firmly solidified her as a member of Vancouver's notorious LIGHTA! crew. She is well-known for her legendary mixes, some being all-vinyl releases, her true love. Blending reggae/dancehall with dembow/bass/rap/RnB/grime, her musical repertoire is expansive and fresh. A regular at Bass Coast, she also graced stages at Shambhala, Diversity and her family-run festival The Field. She rocked the Thunder Stage at LIB and made ripples at the Moon Stage at the Oregon Eclipse. She has opened for well-known artists in both the reggae/dancehall and international underground music scenes and graces underground parties spanning the west coast and other major musical hubs.
