Hey. You guys know I am being framed for arson? Yeah... the lady that told my family to come live with her, because she wanted to help us buy a house, so our kids could have a home of their own? Well, we moved out to her place, and then our house burned down and she told the cops that I confessed the whole thing to her... Uh huh. Makes total sense. Thanks police state. Thanks, jealous biologically competitive psychopath.

Anyway, I did the only thing I could think to do in a time like this: I recorded an album called The Burn House. I mean, it would take a miracle to save my family. Maybe by some miracle I can get rich and famous or something, so that at least my children will have rent money while I'm enjoying a prison marriage to Clearance, or Henry, or whatever...

This album has a lot of firsts surrounding it. First time I've ever been framed for arson, first time I've ever faced 2-12 years in jail while my kids are still babies, first time I've ever written an album about being framed for arson, and the first time I've ever been unafraid to sing about GOD.

Go figure.

The release of Part 1 will be like... this weekend? I don't know. Whenever I feel like it. I'm in a mood, you know, just one of those things.

I'm going to upload 5 songs first, and then upload the rest one at a time until it's all up.

I recorded this album with a guitar I built myself, and then lit on fire so that it's now charred and shiny, a $100 laptop, a few bits of gear I got all together for $50, free software, and I did it in my Prius while hiding from the police because I had a warrant. I finished it, turned myself in. I'm out on bond now, with an ankle monitor and everything...

Several times I was screaming into a microphone, in the driver's seat of my Prius, while the music blared in my headphones, only to finish the take and look over to see some old dude shaking his head at me, because to him it's just some guy yelling into a microphone for no reason. To him, my awkward yelling was all he could hear so it's all there was.

This has still been the most beautiful recording experience I've ever had, even considering the circumstances. I haven't made music in years, but this is the most enlightening period of my life, and I kept waking up with songs in my head. The one about dying by the sword? Wrote that in jail, after I snitched on a drug dealer for bringing fentanyl into the pod, and the whole pod found out and started staring me down. I was MINUTES away from being jumped when suddenly for no reason I was bailed out to the tune of thousands of dollars. Someone loves me.

The lyrics are the most I've ever felt, meaning, when you listen to my other stuff it's good, and I loved recording all of it... but this stuff makes me tear up, as in it would have taken one day to record (instead of weeks) if I could have just gotten through ANY of the takes without crying or flipping out and breaking my hand on the steering wheel
