Having been on the scene running underground parties celebrating the left-field around London for the last three years, the off-kilter rave collective fragment on machines have curated a selection of genre-defying talent from the UK and abroad for their debut compilation release.

FOM001 was created with the intent of raising money for the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Medical Aid Palestine and features 12 unique club-adjacent tracks ranging from cinematic Bladerunner breaks to gritty, unstable hyperpop, from artists united by their support of the Palestinian people.

Track 10 is a hypnotic, 808-driven thinkpiece by South London DJ and producer Shokunin. ‘Pantone 355 C’, the colour code for the green of the Palestinian flag, is a track driven by its spatiality. Shokunin’s skin-tight percussive textures and pensive ambience that define his production style are present here, and are pushed into psychedelic territory by the kinetic 3D soundscape their interactions form. Shokunin is a co-founder of the experimental label and arts collective BONSE1 and has proven himself as one to watch for 2024.

In May, halle o’malley, a producer who’s released on Vief a bunch of times by now, got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year-old Palestinian musician called Samih, who’s life has been torn apart by Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to flee to a refugee camp in Rafah. A Middle East Monitor article from June stated that him and his family have been displaced 5 times since 7th October. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud, an instrument that loosely resembles a guitar.

Having spoken to Samih and received his blessing, Halle planned to sample a video of his and donate the proceeds from the sales of that track to a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. Halle approached me with the idea of scaling this project up by inviting other producers to sample Samih themselves or provide original tracks of their own.
 
Madhoun now stands as a compilation containing four productions sampling Samih, an interlude, and nine other dance tracks generously donated by producers from across the world.

Artist: 
Shokunin is a DJ and producer based in London, and co-founder of the ambient label and arts collective BONSE1. His production draws on his textured, ambient influences  -  dipping into deep, meditative states whilst simultaneously stepping in and out of hypnotic, percussive grooves.

This VA brings together electronic artists from around the world, united in solidarity with the people of Gaza. In the face of silence and inaction from our governments, we believe it’s our responsibility, as artists and human beings, to contribute however we can.

SawtPalestine is an independent association founded by Ahmed Jome, a Palestinian based in Marseille, with the mission of building a bridge between Gaza and the World. Their work focuses on supporting orphans and displaced families in Gaza, especially those with no contact or aid from the outside.

On the ground, a local team operates daily to provide direct financial, emotional, and recreational support to children and families in need. Long-term, SawtPalestine aims to build an orphanage.
Since its creation, the association has also launched a traveling Palestinian kitchen, collaborated with activist networks and artists from different fields, and organized events to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Oleg Jazzyvibe opens a new chapter with the release of his latest album on Sengiley Recordings, showcasing his signature combination where dense Detroit meets dirty Raw sound.

This EP is made up of demos from different years and different times. There is no fake or "slick" sound, as everything was recorded, and that's how it turned out. One of the tracks is from 2018, the other is from 2024, so try to guess)
Oleg is known for his dense and raw sound, all with the prefix Detroit and Raw.

Oleg says: I don't like to get into the mood, I like to roll out the sound the way it is. Today I'm a super friendly dude who rolls out "Chords, Pads, Bells", tomorrow "Slammit" sounds like the anthem of the morning, and in the evening "Waxmuzik" will come in handy under the bold blunt.
