Tiga readies the next EP on Twin Turbo and in doing so exultantly welcomes Belfast’s Jordan into the fold.

Having released records on Extended Play, Made Fresh Daily and Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company - Jordan joins the Turbo ranks with ‘Coup De Grace’: a classically minded 3-tracker that comes inclusive of a remix from Leeds producer Zia.

Jordan has been instrumental in propelling Northern Ireland’s blossoming Electronic music scene through promotion and DJing and is certainly no stranger to big crowds. Over a decade of experience behind the decks supporting the likes of Carl Craig, Paul Woolford and Ryan Elliot is certainly translated into his productions as ‘Coup De Grace’ shines with capacious synths and long, fervent breakdowns that remain propelled by his neatly structured grooves.

The title track kicks off with a bold, thudding drums that immediately sit it comfortably with Twin Turbo. Swooning synth lines are pitted against rattling percussion before Pleasure Centre lays out a hypnotic and tightly wound tone throughout. Zia then galvanises the title track and drives overdriven drums through sweeping synths that cap off another coup for Twin Turbo.

Just before the year draws to a close there are a new set of remixes of 'Don't Go' up for grabs and you couldn't really ask for a better pair to offer up their editing skills. Ostgut Ton favourite Ryan Elliott has stepped up with a driving, ethereal reimagining while Shed adopts his Head High moniker for a suitably ravey new cut.

We've got the first play of Head High's remix and it's a nostalgic rave anthem with a slamming set of his quintessential drums. This one's going to find its way into a lot of sets by the end of the year, we're sure of it.

Octave One announce their new album under the much loved Random Noise Generation guise. The first RNG release was 'Falling in Dub' in 1991 and sounding just as fresh 27 years later, ‘Endustry’ is due for release this spring. 

Something of a new take on their creative process the Burden brothers made most of this music on the road while they toured over the past year, using the country they were in at each time they recorded to influence and inspire each track. “We were tucked away in so many hotel rooms that we decided to make sure we brought enough extra equipment so that we could set up a true lab to create from country to country and make the grooves that we wanted to experiment with on the dance floor.” comments Lawrence.

This body of work encompasses 7 full length cuts, naturally all with that classic Octave One emotion. “'Alkaylze', more than any of tracks on this project, embraced the original spirit of Random Noise Generation in so much as the “machine” seemed to be really guide the creative process.” Adds Lenny “Much of the foundation of the composition was very accidental, but inspirational, with various musical devices interpreting data in a very unexpected results. It actually came together quite quickly but things just fell into place so naturally.” 

After touring and making music for decades the spirit and essential energy of the craft is what keeps them eternally inspired to keep creating and touring the globe… ”Once it takes hold of you you can’t stop even if you wanted to.” says the pair, and so 'Endustry' is born.

For those who don’t know, NYC-based Luca Venezia, aka Drop the Lime, aka Curses, has been a mainstay of the US avant-dance/pre-EDM scene for a dozen years – he’s also a larger-than-life figure, a kind of dandy-cum-party animal-cum-womanizer, but that’s not quite the point here. Under his Drop the Lime guise, he produced wild breakbeat music and launched the infamous Trouble & Bass, known for its raw warehouse beats and rowdy spirit. Then he created the Curses alias, which he uses to make more focused, dancefloor-minded tracks, some of which were released by our former label Institubes in the late noughties. Marble is proud to offer you his first Curses installment in four years, and it’s called "So Good". 

These two new tunes show the two opposite sides of Luca’s current musical identity. 

The title track, So Good, is a 2013 take on early nineties house, complete with sun-drenched MIDI chords, deep kick and bass and a linear yet tense and hypnotic structure. Great warm-up tool or early morning downer. 

Deep in the Night, recorded in Paris with the Marble crew is a disturbed cinematic track, coming with processed vocals, mental synths and the trademark "Ha" ballroom sound. Martial, nightly techno for the druggy hour : feel the pressure and get stronger.
