Marcus Lawrence - Rari (ft. Ghosst)

Born on the East side of Toronto, Marcus' musical background spans all the way back to his youth. His mom put him in guitar lessons at the young age of 10, where he excelled in electric guitar and went on to play the instrument in hardcore/punk bands as a pre-teen. As he grew into his early teenage years, he fell in love with Hip-Hop and studied the roots of the genre early on in his life. He would eventually begin writing his own lyrics and participating in local rap cyphers when he noticed the studying paying off, and it showed in his ability to craft a song. It wasn’t until his mid twenties that he would decide to chase the dream of pursuing a music career, but the decision was fuelled by the fear of leaving earth without a try.   Early on in his career, he would work exclusively with a Toronto-based music collective named The 258 Boys, where he gained experience in the studio and on the stage. Performing at local showcases such as NXNE as well as parties/events co-hosted by Marcus himself. He has since decided to pursue a solo career, and looks forward to dropping consistent releases throughout the next couple years.
