Bani Adam (Persian: بنی آدم; meaning "Children of Adam") is a famous poem by Iranian poet Saadi Shirazi. A translation of the first line of the poem was quoted by former U.S. President Barack Obama in a videotaped message to Iranians to mark Nowruz, the Persian New Year, on 20 March 2009. The poem is also inscribed on a large hand-made carpet installed in 2005 on the wall of a meeting room in the United Nations building in New York.

Earth axis increases
its tilt to the Sun
dew comes, frost no more
vernal peers share light

many a time belatedly
days in autumn
prepare for cold and
special smell of soil

the Muffled Twenties

After the last few posts I have shared of classical guitar pieces, Agony probably isn't the appropriate song that I should upload that has progressive metal elements to it. But, midway into the song there is a break down that has a choir in it so in theory there is some classical elements thrown into the mix.

The mindset I had when composing this twisted song was my reaction to horror movies and how savage they can be. The ride cymbal was used excessively and violently in making this song so I do apologize for that but it felt necessary at the time.
