This Bach prelude is used as a jazz head, as a basis for improvisation. The harmonies are compromised only slightly and the form remains intact.

Ballade was originally composed for a jazz octet and is used here as a basis for solo piano improvisation.

This great American classic is covered and used as a basis for an extensive improvisational section. I only hope Fats approves

This piece was originally recorded on Urban Energy's first release, "Urbnergy". It is a multi-sectional composition with extensive improvisation from all instruments, piano, bass and drums.

Baubles, Bangles And Beads

I composed Sad But True in early 2016. Improvisation is akin to a development section in a sonata-allegro form in that the motives are improvised on separately. The improvisation begins the composition and the head is not heard in completion until the end of the composition.
