DC172 comes on behalf of Brazilian born Vinicius Honorio, a now London based producer and DJ who is making some serious in-roads amongst a new breed of techno artists. Having already released on labels such as Pig&Dan’s Elevate and dubspeeka’s Skeleton, the next natural step in his progression comes in the form of a release on Drumcode. 

‘Through The Darkness’ is a masterclass in darkened techno grooves, with each one of the four tracks managing to show off Honorio’s skill as a producer and just why he is firing on all cylinders. The release kicks off with ‘Walking Shadow’, a track that has been a key part of Adam Beyer’s sets at the tail end of 2016 and in to the new year. This tense, brooding affair has certainly garnered a lot of attention of late and it’s clear to see why. The title track ‘Through The Darkness’ is a much more of a stripped back cut, jam-packed with a haunting vocal hook, driving basslines and slick drums. This is one for the late night mischief makers. ‘Desolate’ is another hard-hitter, managing to perfectly balance that signature Honorio groove and pounding drums that adds depth to his productions. The release closes with the atmospheric ‘Out For Blood’, which is loaded with vintage rave stabs and weighty basslines – This one is meant to played in dark and sweaty rooms.

The Polish duo Duss are bringing the heat once again. Being no strangers to Pursuit, these 2 have an unparalleled synergy in the studio which once again manifests itself into 2 originals and a collab with Rob Hes. 

Opening things up, the A1 is called The Granulator and provides intricate hypnotizing reversed stabs and melodic grooves ready to deploy. Following the lead single, we’ve got Rejected Bomb and Intensified Tension, all peak time stormers and staples in Rob Hes’ sets.
Additionally we are very happy to announce the debut from Belgium stronghold Ramon Tapia. With releases on Tronic, Elevate and Truesoul this talended and prolific producer provides us with his take on the release single The Granulator. Mark Greene is an electronic music producer and qualified sound engineer based in Ireland. After completing his training in the Sound Training Centre in Dublin under Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), Mark began signing some early tracks to various labels in Europe. Quite soon after, Mark was releasing tracks on well established labels like Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Elektrax and Carl Cox’ longstanding imprint Intec Digital. A string of popular releases allowed Mark to play gigs across Europe with regular trips to Amsterdam, in particular for the annual ADE each Autumn.

An avid drummer as a child, Mark has always had an affinity for heavy kick-drums in his tracks. As the years have gone by his productions have gained some bpm and Mark’s music is now finding its way into the hands of DJs at the forefront of the industrial techno scene. Rebekah, I Hate Models, Theo Nasa, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Amelie Lens and more are supporting his productions of late, particularly his original tracks on his newly established DORCHA Records - meaning ‘dark’ in the Irish language.

Mark launched DORCHA in 2020 to circumnavigate the typical months-long process of releasing on other labels. DORCHA is a place for Mark to release tracks on his own schedule and experiment with various different styles and creative approaches. The aim of the label is to identify new artists and build a small roster to carry the DORCHA flag.

Each month you can tune into Mark’s Progress Radio show for one hour of unreleased music from himself and some of the best producers in techno. Broadcasting on several stations around the world, the show will reach the 100 episode milestone in 2022.
