So for episode 034 we had a lot of shouts after sharing the first disc on this compilation, which was the Jeremy Healy one. (Also excellent). But with so many requests it was time to get the Whitehead one up there, and after listening to again for the first time in over 10 years or so the memories of its brilliance came flooding back. It's a more soulful set with come epic vocal and feel good moments which made the mid to late 90's a much more enjoyable place to be.

So many stand out tracks but off the top of my head, Right and Exact, Tall and Handsome, Weekend, I Believe, Happiness and the highlight for me, the epic 'Sweetest Day of May' by Joe T. Vannelli Project. It's fantastically put together and a mix with truly belongs into the classic status. Whatever you're up to now Alistair... we salute you!

Forgot how brilliant this set is. It`s prob about late 95, It has absolutely everything in it but it also has elements of Tony`s previous sound and the future sound too. Incredible mixing, it`s definitely one for the headphones, LOUD, your ears will love you forever. There`s a point where you`ll say wow, there`s a point where you`ll say `kin`ell, but there`s a point where you just have to get up and dance. An amazing set,..... two parts so make sure you do both

Kirsty Lee James - Pure Poptober Mix

A really nice live mix from about late 96/ early 97. Absolutely live, you can hear the crowd in the background. Wicked tunes, all the favourites, a lovely set. I chose it by way of a lucky dip,..it features probably the only mistake I`ve ever heard on over 120 TdV mixes.1 beat out, it shows he was human too. It gives us all hope. The talent and energy?....We can only dream of that. As always, there are 2 parts, please do both. Enjoy!!

This is probably one of the most beautiful pieces of music anybody has ever introduced me to. For that I have to thank Tony de Vit. It brings back soo many memories of all night and all day, sweaty, exhausted, totally frazzled and euphoric moments in the company of some of the best people I`ve ever met. This tune encapsulates it completely and always makes me smile. It`s entirely fitting that it samples "Moments in Love" by Art of Noise, I`ve never ever experienced anything like the love between a dancefloor and a DJ like I experienced at Trade. Seeing as it`s posted on the 1st of December, play it in memory of the brilliant beautiful people that are no longer with us x

Many a happy hour flicking through oceans of tunes, dragging bags of them home, going through them, lots of shit but putting the needle on a gem, the feeling is priceless. Bang! That`s in the "play" pile. Line them up in order of tempo, stick a tape in, annoy the neighbours. Lots of early to mid tempo Trade type tunes with a few surprises too. I`d only had my decks about 2 years and didn`t know how to EQ but believe me, I`ve paid good money in a club to hear worse. A wicked mix. lots of favourites, lots of Trade tunes, brilliant! I have zero info on it, absolutely nothing apart from it saying 1996. If anybody knows where the club was, it would be much appreciated. You`ll get the same impression that I did, I think I`ve heard this one, then a different tune comes in and you realise, ohh, this is a rare one! Just enjoy it!

After another planned trip to Progress in Derby with a few mates in 1994, we were disappointed that DJ Duke from the U.S.A. had cancelled but been replaced by the unheard of  Tony De-Vit from Birmingham. That was my 1st introduction to T.D.V. and was hooked from then on. Then having the opportunity to introduce him to our Lick It crowd in Milton Keynes was a blessing. This is the original Dat recording from that night. Those who were there will remember it well, a true turning point in MK's clubbing history.
