My 14-yo son sang this song just after his voice broke (his voice fell by about an octave during that year). He introduced me to the song and I ended up remixing it this year to clear up a the clutter and balance his voice in the mix a bit more than it was originally. Having been divorced twice I liked the sentiment of the song too as it expresses  something buried way back in there somewhere. I hope you hear it through own experiences anyway.
