GetSet is making waves with his hard-hitting basslines, rolling drums, and a sound that blends elements of techno, UK garage, and house. Known for keeping dancefloors locked in, his sets are a journey through deep grooves, percussive energy, and unexpected twists.
Hailing from Ōtautahi/Christchurch, Aotearoa/New Zealand and starting out as a DJ playing funk and hip-hop, GetSet transitioned into dance music, developing a style that bridges classic influences with the club sounds of today. His remixes and edits of iconic tracks have become a signature, modernizing timeless club anthems with a fresh, high-energy approach.
A standout achievement in GetSet's career was the track "I Must Confess," which reached number 17 on the NZ Hot Singles Chart, showcasing their prowess as a producer and the universal appeal of their sound. GetSets music has been supported around the globe by artists such as Westend, Girls Don't Sync, Lady Shaka, and many more.
GetSet's impact extends far beyond the studio, with performances at some of New Zealand's most iconic festivals leaving audiences spellbound. From commanding the stages of Electric Ave, Rhythm and Alps, Rhythm and Vines, to the enchanting Bay Dreams, GetSet's sets are a symphony of energy and emotion, uniting music lovers from all walks of life. GetSet has also supported acts such as Fisher, LF System, Sammy Virji, Ayybo, Boyz Noize, Little Fitter, Darude, Will Clarke, plus many more.

Regarded as one of London’s “leading disco labels”, The Disco Express first began as a monthly loft party in March 2017; hosting the globe’s biggest house & disco DJs at the former 1940's Shoreditch railway station.

Evolving into a full-fledged record label and event series in 2020, The Disco Express is now a revered platform for nu-disco and soulful dance music. Working with the scene’s most talented up-and-coming artists, DJs and remixers, the label has established a global fanbase, distributing vinyl, merch, and music to over 50 countries worldwide. 

Consistent high quality releases and edits have garnered support from the likes of Nightmares On Wax, Purple Disco Machine, The Blessed Madonna, Crazy P, TSHA, Folamour, Dan Shake, Groove Armada, Sarah Story (Radio 1) and Basement Jaxx. 

Holding down residencies in London, Berlin, Paris, Mexico City and NYC, The Disco Express also plays host to events further afield in Bristol, Milan, Rome, Copenhagen and more.. 

Celebrating their 50th release as a label in May 2023, The Disco Express endeavour to support new underground artists from across the globe as well as working with legends of the dance music scene Barbara Tucker, John Morales, Michael Gray, Michelle Weeks, Art of Tones and most recently Dave Lee. 

The Disco Express is building a strong catalogue of original disco for 21st century dance floors and this train ain't slowing down anytime soon...
