Caro Leger (@caro-leger) is a talented newcomer from Perth, Australia - we met in Ibiza earlier in July and she made this set happen. Keep an eye out for her!

The first half of the set was recorded at the camp, the energy picks up midway through when we got moving and hit the playa for sunset.

Live Set BURNING MAN 2023 - META DRAGON with CARO LEGER

This set was to an ode to the American singer and pianist who is widely credited with being the first performer to establish a Vegas residency. When Liberace was just seven years old, he memorized the full 17-page score of Mendelssohn's “Midsummer Night's Dream" in one day.  Famous for his ornate outfits, elaborate stage shows and flamboyantly luxurious lifestyle, the piano prodigy dubbed “Mr Showtime” first played in Vegas in 1944.  He held an unprecedented 43-year residency on the strip before passing away in 1987.

To be able to do this mix in the legendary Moroccan room, in the original house he lived in, in the very space where he would've hosted some of the most iconic characters of the era was a true honor. If walls could talk!

To set the tone, I tried to tell a story with the music, the themes were: Mirror, Reflection, Fantasy, Classical, Journey, Earth, Aria, Remembrance, Memory, Miracle, Dream, Courage.

Coming back to earth from my 9.5h set at Stereo. 

I had nerves trying to “top” my debut, but the club had me playing from the heart instead of overthinking. No phones, coffee and protein shakes instead of alcohol, and the best crowd and sound system in North America. It’s a spiritual place and a playground—love is left when there is nowhere to hide.

Originally from the U.K., Mark Eteson has been DJing since 1999, touring for over a decade in the golden era of trance, producing and releasing music on esteemed labels such as Anjunabeats, Armada and Garuda, collaborating with legends such as Above & Beyond and Paul van Dyk. 

In 2013, Eteson decided to make a move to the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, after signing an exclusive residency with Hakkasan Nightclub. As the music industry in Las Vegas soared to new heights, so did Eteson, constantly evolving to the changing preferences of the audience and their thirst for new content.

In December 2020, he embarked on his most ambitious project yet, HOUSE of LEAVES — an immersive live-music experience that spins a fresh nightlife narrative. In partnership with Bluebird Wood Enterprises, Eteson stepped into the world of music-event production, taking an innovative approach, fusing art and theater from concept to creation: YOU are part of the story as the music guides you through some of the most unique venues in the World.

In Oct 2024, Eteson launched a concept of 5 years in the making, 'THE STORY of EVERYTHING'; a visual odyssey through the history of the Universe and consciousness, described by Gareth Emery as 'Planet Earth on steroids'. Premiered in the Palms Casino IMAX theatre, the hybrid movie has won 2 film festival Laurels, and featured a Dolby Atmos soundtrack with a 90-min score, performed live by Mark.  The Future is Now.
