I can hear why you want to sing along to keys played like this. Nice feel from Tom, fantastic horn support from Georg, and never sell the guitarists short (that lead riff in the middle is mint among all the other guitar parts) - Boon and Jussi. This is new take on a song that Rodolfo and I first worked on 4 years ago. He had always imagined it with fine saxophone and great backing harmonies and now that Continental Collision has a wonderful pool of talent to draw on, that has become a reality, thanks to Ce Mastro and Georg Boehme's beautiful contributions.

Régulo (AKA @kings-of-manguareo) in Venezuela started this project a year ago with a piece called ‘Al Paso C’.
After several evolutions involving Dick (Oorlab) and myself, then the new title was suggested by Régulo and we ventured into space, with a ‘Musical Consequences’ scenario. I started off the lyrics, then Régulo added some lines and finally Dick completed them. Soundcloud is a great place for experimentation. In the 5 years I have been working with Rod, I have been encouraged to reach as far as my experience allows me to, with complete support at all times. So far we have completed 11 songs and have experimented with several others that made for a great learning curve for me, with several more at other stages of development... Watch this space, however as we are methodical and patient, therefore it may take some time to get them off the ground.

The subject matter of this song may be based on a different scenario but it is also a token of my gratitude to my inspirational collaborator and friend Rod, who has given me much confidence to rise to the ambition of his musical creativity and meticulous arrangements. Thank you all for giving this song your time.

Rod says - 
This song was conceived a long time ago to be sung in Spanish, but Mark did a magnificent adaptation with his English lyrics, and the meaning is 100% faithful to the original spirit, even though he hadn't heard the original song in Spanish. Technically, there are three voices together, consolidating a multi-vocal performance. The synth sounds emulate my old analog and FM synths, and the guitars were routed through an old console to achieve the vintage sound I was looking for.

Carl from the Beautiful dark wrote a song today titled "Baldy Patty" and  it inspired me to write my own personal a song about baldness.  I started to lose my hair in my early twenties, and for awhile it bothered me and then one day, I decided to shave my head and I have never looked back. And now so many years have passed that I have been bald longer than I had hair.

Don't Keep Me Waiting

Hello…. So who is Darwin the cat… really? I suppose just an old recluse like me. An older cat who I was tasked with cat-sitting this summer. Initially, I never saw him. Ha. Then one day, he appeared out of nowhere and we became best buds. He became talkative and encouraged me to ask him about life. I would ask him something and he would tell me all about it. So of course here’s a song about our shenanigans. A simple song. Ukulele, vox, and some finger-tapping keyboard percussion. In other news, tiny chickadees have been following me around the yard when I water, and a new generation of rabbits hang out near the small patches of red clover I planted around the yard... They stretch out and relax in the shade during the day. I laugh at them. The raccoon(s) come through late at night, and sometimes I hear them scream, which does sound weirdly unnerving. A hawk is in and about hunting the yard for small birds and whatnot. The birds in the yard, head into the spruce tree branches where the hawk cannot go. I built a small branch wall around the fire ant mound back by the compost pile, as someone keeps digging into it, maybe the coons or possibly flickers trying to get at the larvae. Now the mound is really built up as the ant colony has worked feverishly to rebuild it. That particular ant colony has been here for decades. Plenty of apples and wild plums now, so I have to be alert when going outside late at night, as maybe the bear will return in the midst of hyperphagia, to gorge on the apples. There were some deer here briefly as well. I have begun autumn chores in preparation for the long winter here and have taken to eating apples and plums from the trees, as I take a break from my chores. I could be a bear… hahahahaha. And of course, I’m getting old(er), more forgetful, and wondering what the future holds in store. Hope you’re all well. Thanks for dropping by, Mark
