Kidnap is an artist whose music overflows with emotion - rich and powerfully evocative.

Recording in London, Kidnap (real name Matthew Relton) likens his process to that of a sculptor, starting with a block of sound and chopping away until a shape emerges. As such, each song exists ornately carved with a handcrafted subtly.

Still just 33, Relton is already something of an industry veteran. Releasing his first single in 2012 kicked off an eight-year stretch of global touring that came to a grinding halt when the pandemic put the world on pause.

2024 marks a new chapter for Kidnap, with his next body of work on the horizon. Set against the backdrop of a changing world and the arrival of a baby daughter, Relton offers a bittersweet reflection on the passing of time. ‘It’s about looking back on the last 12 years — the touring and the friends and the sleeplessness,” says Relton, “and realising that in order to embrace the life I have now, I need to let it all go.’ The music shimmers with nostalgia. Signature sad melodies dance deftly around commanding synth lines, altogether sounding like an artist with a new found sense of purpose.

With over one hundred releases spanning nearly 10 years of music, AVA Recordings has become a staple within the Trance scene and has long been at the forefront of releasing top quality music from producers like Andy Moor, Andrew Rayel, Tritonal, Tenishia, Ashley Wallbridge, Ben Nicky, Somna, Orkidea and many more.  

2016 sees a continuation on the path that label owner Andy Moor has set which is to release high quality sustainable music written with passion from A-listers as well as new talent.

Graduated in graphic arts, born in Paris of Spanish origin, Romain Garcia has always drawn from his numerous influences, whether cultural or artistic.
DJ since he’s 15 years old and fan of techno, especially melodic, he sent a demo to Ben Böhmer during the quarantine, who immediately hooks on his soaring style, full of exotic sounds, of triturated voices samples, plated on hypnotic and dancing rhythms. 
This artistic crush led to a collaboration : that’s how was born "Cappadocia", the first track of Romain Garcia released on Cercle Records in 2020, already accumulating 9 million streams.
The single "White Flag" was released afterwards, on the German label Ton Topferei.
Recently spotted by the management of NTO, who Romain is sharing a lot of dates with, he is now preparing to release his first EP, "Syamo".

“It all began when one of us was Leaving Laurel”.

For Leaving Laurel, their music is a story of an old friendship that over many years, almost accidentally, blossomed into a musical collaboration.

Birthed in late 2019, American artist Pierce Fulton and Canadian producer Gordon Huntley together as Leaving Laurel have developed a penchant for introspective melodic electronic music.

Inspired by their time together in the hills of Laurel Canyon, and from their formative experiments recording into old cassette tape players, the project materialized seemingly out of thin air - something neither of them knew they were looking for.

Chasing the nostalgic sound that came from their first collaborations, the pair finished their debut self-titled album at the start of 2021, just prior to a horrible tragedy.

Pierce passed away in April of 2021 after a tragic struggle with his mental health. The album is dedicated to his memory, and has come to represent much more than two friends making music together in the Laurel Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles.  

After some time to reflect, Gordon decided to collect the pieces of the remaining music the duo had started, and to carry on with the project.

In the fall of 2021, Leaving Laurel played their first shows since the formation of the project, with Pierce’s older brother Griff taking Pierce’s place for their DJ sets.
