An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured, either by passing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer. An eclipse is a type of syzygy.[1]&#13;
The term eclipse is most often used to describe either a solar eclipse, when the Moon's shadow crosses the Earth's surface, or a lunar eclipse, when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. However, it can also refer to such events beyond the Earth-Moon system: for example, a planet moving into the shadow cast by one of its moons, a moon passing into the shadow cast by its host planet, or a moon passing into the shadow of another moon. A binary star system can also produce eclipses if the plane of the orbit of its constituent stars intersects the observer's position.&#13;

Toujours avec l'ARP 2500 et certains périphériques. Aucune séquence ne c'est envolé durant cette session car, le séquenceur est pour le moment en plein nettoyage aux niveaux de ces contacts.

Alpha 3 demo. Nothing terribly sophisticated, this was cranked out in a few hours to test some of the new features, including velocity (yes, the SEM now does envelope amount by velocity!), a new ratcheting mode, and 2 voice poly operation. This time around, the photo is of the real thing, the Alpha 3 prototype. No, there won't be green LEDs in production, and no, there isn't a handle on the back.

Live noodling again--This is just a newly refurbished CS80 and a 1 VCO voice from the Modcan and Serge--the VCO is splitting through 2 Sawtooth Animators in Stereo and running through a bunch of other processors. Another VCO is being used to clock all of the sequencers and the iPad which is running StepPolyArp and driving the CS80 via MIDI. A fine mess but somehow it actually works...  Lead solo on the TKB about 3 minutes in or so. Percussion is coming from the CS80's upper layer and some noisy stuff on the Modcan.

RSF Polykobol : enregistré en 2 pistes.

* 1 / Improvisation de nappes avec un peu plus loin l'arpégiateur mis en sous couche
        et joué en temps réel avec les nappes.
* 2 / Piste de modulation et sons ambiant très léger.

Voici ou probablement la meilleure démonstration que j'ai pu faire à ce jour pour ce synthétiseur. Merci de la regarder (pour la video), l'écouter et je vous en remercie par avance. Avec toute ma sincère amitié à tous.

* Ceci est une totale improvisation. Je n'ai ajouté que très peu de choses sur la 2éme piste.
L'on pourrait croire qu'il y a plusieurs machines...
Et bien non, ce n'est que le Polykobol... lui seul !

- La création de sonorité ambiante a était faite avec une large programmation de morphing des formes d'ondes.
Seule une reverb a était utilisée et un delay pour l'arpégiateur.
Le fait de faire des variations des formes d'ondes avec l'enveloppe donne l'illusion d'avoir un phaser :)
La calibration des OSC's a donner suite à cet enregistrement. Le son est tout simplement magnifique.
Déjà que 4 voies ça sonne très massif... Alors 8... et 16 oscillateurs en tout !...

RSF Polykobol : recorded in two tracks.

* 1 / Ambiant sounds improvised with later the arpeggiator in stack mode with the
        ambient sound in real time.
* 2 / Very soft ambient sounds and modulations.

Here is or probably the best demonstration that I have done so far for this synthesizer. Thank you for watching (for the video only), listening and thank you in advance. With all my sincere friendship to all.

* This is a total improvisation. I have put very little about the 2nd track.
One could believe that there are several machines...
Well no, it's only the Polykobol sounds :)

- The creation of ambient sounds was made ​​with a large range programming morphing waveforms.
Only a reverb was used & a delay effect for arpeggiator later.
The variations of waveforms with envelope gives the illusion of having a phaser :)
The calibration of OSC's has done today for this recording. The sound is simply beautiful.
With 4 voices it's already a very fat sounds... So 8... with 16 oscillators !...

NightBirds - RSF Polykobol / 2012

Composé avec un séquenceur Roland MC-4, deux modules Roland System 100, Oberheim Xpander et Kobol RSF.

NightBirds - Live at Libourne (Bordeaux France) / 2004

This entire cue was done with only one synthesizer--an actual Yamaha CS80. All melodic and percussive sounds (even the kick) were done on a real CS. For the drum kit, the CS was sampled and loaded into Kontakt. It was multitracked to Digital Performer, and there are 47 stereo tracks in the mix. 
  I spent a year of on and off working on restoring this infernal machine, so I thought it was time to actually write something for it. Normally, I wouldn't want to do an entire cue with just one synth, because that one instrument's character often overwhelms the mix (sort of like doing a symphony for 48 clarinets and nothing else). The CS80 is an instrument with a very broad, expressive range. There is a vague futility in doing pure synth cues these days, especially with a monster like this machine, so the proper name for this piece of music is:

The story so far--fresh from their easy victory over the brainless Zombies, the Aliens dive into the Pacific Rim of Fire to raid the earth's resources and steal Methane Hydrates. They encounter something deep underwater that can actually fight back, and she is on her own home turf...

This cue features the Euro and Frac system set up in this simple patch--the one on the left is called Morbeus, it is an Emu/Paia homebrew made from Emu SSM evaluation boards and Paia EKX series boards. On the right top to bottom is an Encore Expressionist, Analogue Systems modular, Blacet, and Doepfer A100 modulars. Below that is a Powertran Digital Delay and an Alesis Quadraverb.
These synths are backed up by 2 Waldorf Microwave 1, WAVE, and Q+, a Minimoog, 2 Minimoog Voyagers, Studio Electronics Omega 8, 2 Oberheim SEMS, a Tom Oberheim New SEM,
Access Virus B and C, Arturia Origin, 2 MacBeth M3X, Jomox Sunsyn, Alesis Andromeda, and the 5U Knob Grotto. Mixed live off of all of the synths, this used 63 tracks and a couple of hundred voices. It probably should be titled the battle against noise floor and ground loops, but I won that battle!

Bad Monkeys get loose in the house. A short demo...

This was done entirely with one analog synth, a vintage Moog System 15 Modular loaned to me by Dr. Howie Shen. All sounds were generated on the synth, sampled using Redmatica software and loaded into Kontakt. Sequence written using Digital Performer. No monkeys were harmed.

TMA - kristallin

This is the first demo of the new Tom Oberheim Two Voice Alpha Prototype. I wanted to quickly bang out something in Song mode, building a bunch of sequences and stringing them together. Lots of odd meters here... I played a few little noodles on top here and there and a few bassy blobs as well. 
This is the new TVS ONLY, no other synths were harmed in the making of this track.

Hello, my name is Markus, I was born in 65 Geneva Switzerland but my origins are german, so some life time past. 
I learnt piano with different teacher, and  throught conservatoire, and between on my own using my ears.

Enjoyed a lot tweaking keyboards and synths throughout the eighties, were I used a long list of gear, bought and sold for a part.
 like listen to the music from that time and before, favourite seventies, and eighties.

 then also played here and there with different regular pop and rock bands.
 
Couldn't stop to love great Synthesizer, and I experimenting with several machines, 
even when most of them became a lot more virtual today, it was fantastic to get back to all these old clones of unaccessible hardware.

However this my music under the name of horizons that should be less common even if I try to keep a harmonic, like melodic edge along with some more experimental investigations. 
I recorded or composed on time, there is an album called "Dreams of the Maiden", you can check or listen to.
