Anyone who was familiar with house music, knew that Nervous Records was a household name (no pun...well kinda:-).  To have the opportunity to remix a song that was already in my heavy rotation, during my residency at the legendary LA after hours "Does Your Mama Know" (1997), was an honor.

Paying homage to his formative years at the influential club of the same name, DJ/Producer, David Morales is back with ‘RED ZONE 7’ on his label Diridim which sonically lives up to the high standards of previous Red Zone albums. Comprised of eight intense tracks, ‘Red Zone 7’ draws on a plethora of electronic music styles aimed squarely at big-room and intimate clubs alike.
The release initiates with “Time Traveler”, an atmospheric tech-house track featuring international producer/artist, Blakkat on vocals, that is enriched by pads and synth-stabs that are uniquely tied together to deliver a pulsating beat. From “Don’t Be Alarmed”, featuring vocal chants by Mike Dunn, to the pounding bassline of “Virus”, to “No Fear”, which builds up to a drop that delivers a powerful synth lead, tech-house aficionados will be left wanting more. In contrast, “Mental Ruby”, “Movin”, Spirit Dance” and “Mi Casa” combine the sounds of Afro-House and Techno that will appeal to audiences with idiosyncratic tastes for sub-genres of electronic dance music. ‘RED ZONE 7’ showcases David Morales’s imaginative genius with classic ‘hands-in-the-air’ tracks just in time for Summer 2022.

Replay of the Urban Night Grooves special "For Those Who Like To Groove". Over a year ago I had the idea for a mix starting soul/downtempo slowly progressing to house. I wanted all selected tracks to have their roots in classic hip-hop/funk/soul/house. After 30+ hours of editing/cutting/mixing I can finally post the final result. It ended up in quite an eclectic, hip-housey mix. Yeah boyyyyy! This is a journey into sound…

In addition to producing some of LA's most legendary clubs/events, many associate him with "DEEP," the illustrious event that he nurtured in his hometown of Los Angeles - thriving and continuing today for well over 19 years. He is one of the few DJ's that have managed to cross pollinate audiences and merge at least two generations of music fans on his dance floors.
