It has been quite some time since the last time we gathered for a night of MBTS. I wanted to take some time after the pandemic to be quiet and see how the dance music scene would evolve, and what sounds would come out of the standstill that was Covid. Now that I have a good sense of where I want to be sonically, and what kind of energy I want to spread onto dance floors, I am ready to restart MBTS in 2023. CAVALIER @ House of House NYC [May 12 2023]

It brought me sheer joy to return to Lightning In A Bottle,  playing music on two of its most legendary stages: The Junkyard (formerly known as The Favela Bar) and The Woogie. Throughout more than a decade, I've been fortunate enough to witness LIB's incredible evolution into the spectacle it is today, both as a devoted attendee and a passionate performer. This journey has played an influential role on my music, my life, and my community and I am profoundly grateful for it.

Thank you all for co-creating with me and I look forward to the next time we get to dance together. For the time being, I hope you enjoy this sonic journey we shared Thursday night at The Junkyard Stage.

Sonic love travels in many dimensions and as it relates to music, Marques Wyatt is a seminal pioneer and is undoubtedly one of the most respected DJ's in the United States and a West Coast legend. In addition to producing some of LA's most legendary clubs/events, many associate him with "DEEP," the illustrious event that he nurtured in his hometown of Los Angeles - thriving and continuing today for well over 19 years. He is one of the few DJ's that have managed to cross pollinate audiences and merge at least two generations of music fans on his dance floors. Thus, he is in demand at clubs, as well as on the festival circuit alike, stateside and abroad. Marques' unerring, knowledgeable selections are sure to stir up some emotions and known to turn huge dance floors into intimate rituals.
